Cell phone as Modem

Now i am accessing internet from my cell phone, i.e my cell is my modem and getting net from my service provider. It is very useful and helpful to me to get internet access from my cell. Also the rates are very low. But the speed is also low. Anyhow i like my mobile internet a lot. I think getting internet from our mobile and accessing our mobile as our modem is the cheap and best way to enjoy our online activities.

I know most of the people access internet from their mobile, now a days it is quite common, also we have the ability to check our mails and essential information on the go if we use internet from our cell phone. Do you every used your cell phone as your internet modem?

I used to do this for 3 years when we still don't have broadband at home. I use my 3G phone as a modem and connect it to the pc. Sometimes I got decent connection, but it always fluctuates.

I use internet on my phone all the time to check youtube, google maps, forums etc etc. I love it, my internet on the phone is pretty fast too... takes 2-3 secounds to load a page

lol guys I have Nokia N8 where I get upto 10.2 Mbps 3G speed.
As my network provider gives me 21Mbps speed so I can enjoy the full speed capability of my phone.
My ping rate 26ms which pretty fast and page loads at microseconds like 0.50 secs.
I dont have broadband but m using 3G better than broadband in our area.

Before I'm using my phone to connect to net and have shared the connection to my laptop. But I found it so slow in terms of loading/browsing to my laptop connection, definitely it logs.
Modem from a phone does have different capability in terms of connections specially when the source does have low modem as medium for connections.

Yah i use my phone as modem everytime i have free browsing tricks. It's cool, i can even watch online movies. It's not that slow.

Yeah, PC Suite software connect my computer with internet through my mobile as modem, my phone provider charge me about 10$ for monthly usage, but im having really slow speeds so i switch to broadband providers.

yes, i used to use my mobile phone as modem and plug to my PC and notebook, but now i don;t do it anymore cause i have given 3g USB modem by my office. so i using it, it's have better speed though.

well vidhya i dont think it is a good net provider, as i feel the speed of the net is so slow when you use your phone as a modem.

Although some work can be so done by using it, accessing social sites, getting mails and some useful information on the go is good for a mobile to be used for that purpose. I use it some times.

Nice to hear that you too use your cell as your modem, yes you are right, some times we will get a good connection from it, but most of the time, it is very hard to get a good connection speed with this cell phone modem, i feel depressed with this slow connection. Anyhow it helped me to communicate with others.

I know this thing early,i think it have some bad effect also,when we connect with mobile,its speed is very low too....!
