CFW and homebrew

Hello everyone,

I made this thread to see what CFW are you using and which homebrew apps do you have on your PS3 system (if you are using CFW)

I myself use kmaew CFW 3.55 and my homebrew apps are : rogero manager, multiman, snes emulator and blackbox.

I need to use CFW because my blu-ray drive died and so i can now play games again direct from my HD without replavcing the BD

Just to make a point. A homebrew on your PS3 IS illegal and will never be legal. I don't use it, cheats are for n00bs and it will always result in a system ban.

Just to make a point. First who says that i am cheating or playing anyway online??? And it is not ilegal (that is just sonny saying but nobody else , i buyed (payed for my ps3) and that means it is mine i can do to it what ever i want, play footbal with it, burn it, instal on it whatever i want ... like when you buy a car you can modify or costumize it the way you like, anyway i am not using PSN at all because i never played online games except from samp.

And the last thing, i don't use it because of cheats, i am using CFW because Sonny fucked up with their blu-ray drives so they are getting defected with no reason, one night it works and the other the laser is "gone", and i don't have the money to pay 150$ for a repair because that's here in Bosnia much money, because of that i am using CFW so i can play my games without the BD drive direct from the HDD and btw hackers gave to the ps3 users much more then sony (like that playing of games direct from the hdd and some other stuff), sonny is just removing features like other os and because of their updates much people have now bricked consoles ( blu-ray drives) ....

Re-install your system and sent your Playstation to Sony, you get a new one for free. Don't take it to the shop because they charge you for sending it to Sony. Just call Sony Europe or sent them an e-mail and ask about their service for defected hardware. I've sent mine too and I got a new Playstation back, fully fixed and it was, and still is working like a charm.

Hmm i thinked that you can just send it to sony in the USA, i didn't knew that i can send it here somewhere in europe, but anyway i don't think that they will send you a new one for free if the warranty is void :S
