Chase or TD Bank?

My local citibank is about 3 miles away while my local chase and td bank are a 15 minute walk away, so I'm probably gonna go apply for one when they open. Which would you recommend in terms of fees and such? Chase has a minimum deposit of $25 to open an account, which is mandatory as well as a $12 monthly fee, while TD Bank has no minimum deposit and a $6 monthly fee. TD Bank isn't too clear on their terms however which leaves me a bit off. I don't know, make a good comparison if you have both and i'll toss you these worthless koins or something.

I have only ever used a bank and it was to keep my allowance from my brothers being able to steal it when I was younger and that was Bank Of America or some shit.

Hope I helped, toss me some worthless koins things yeah lol love you @cas

I would go with Chase. I have them, and I have no complaints. Chase is going to be a Future Corporation along with Google. Mark my words.

When you sign up, they'll ask you about overdraft protection. Don't do it. It may seem like a good idea, but don't do it. Especially if you're working part time or don't have some sort of consistent income.

@fireworks yeah, I was reading about that. The only thing that threw me off was the $12 monthly fee, that's $144 yearly just to use them. With TD Bank it'd be only $72 but citibank is clearer in their terms as opposed to TD. Still looking for opinions guys, I'll throw the koins away when I feel I've been assisted in making my final decision.

Join a local credit union, large banks are terrible. They don't care about you and charge you stupid fees.

@EGLZ no local banks here really, and being from ny, these two are good since they're on like every other block. Still looking for opinions, guys.

I have TD and it's an amazing bank. They have the best hours and they are growing across the nation.

Chase seems to have high fees since they are more of a wealthy bank. More for rich people.

I wouldn't go with Chase.

I can't tell you how many times they've raped me with fees and it takes forever to have transactions clear. It takes about 2 days before I can actually use the money that I get via direct deposit from my job. The mobile app isn't all that great either, it can only do very simple functions.

Don't get me wrong, they're a decent bank but I wouldn't suggest them. I would however suggest talking to the employees at the banks and see which one would suit you and your needs best.

Thanks guys, leaning towards TD more now. Big factor that still throws me off is that on the site, it mentions the app is available for those who have been enrolled for 90 days and I would lose it if I had to call and speak to a god damn machine everytime I were to check my availability.

if you're in high school or college then chase waives the fee and they have free atms all over the place plus the mobile app is great for depositing checks and transferring money.
