I think we need some kind of way to contact with other RG members, instead of skype, etc.

IRC, Shoutbox, something.

I've got a 6 month VPS, I'm willing to host the IRC if you guys want.

This has been suggested SO many times before, and declined. No. Chats hurt forums. Just invite your own group of friends into an IRC. Or, PM some people you wanna get to know. Or, Runegear's Runescape Friend Chat
