I've seen a few people in this forum how their childhood was playing Pokemon, Crash and things like that. Also how they say that someone didn't have a good childhood if they didn't play or watched Pokemon.
I, personally, never watched Pokemon. I only played Pokemon Emerald when I got a GBA SP when I was about 10, I did like it but it wasn't that great to be thinking about it the whole day.
But for me, real childhood wasn't staying in a house playing videogames. For me, childhood was this:

Scratching my knees when I fell to the ground while I was trying to get to the other side of the monkeybars.

Now, if that never happened to you, you didn't have a childhood.

Discuss.

As much as I played games, I still had an adventurous childhood. I tried to jump off my couch and smashed my head against our coffee table and had to get stitches on my head, I broke my arm jumping off the monkey bars then I fractured a bone in my leg trying to back flip off the monkey bars. Oh! I also winded myself again trying to backflip off the monkey bars when I was like 10. Good times :')
Now it's panic panic panic.... study study study....

Panic, panic, panic. Study, study, study. Concentrate, concentrate, concentrate. Struggle, struggle, struggle. Relax, relax, relax.
Then you get mad again when you see your grades.
But your point is also valid.
Did you also jump from bed to bed thinking that the floor was lava and that if you touched it you would burn?

I sure did! My grandparents owned a caravan that they kept at this caravan park called "Big 4" I would normally stay over holidays with my 3 cousins. They had 2 bunk beds so we could all fit in We had countless hours of fun doing that and the other things that place had to offer. It was sad that last year was my final year there. Good memories, and yeah.
I study and am only just scraping though. Oh well, it SHOULD pay off eventually.

All of this happened with me only when I went to school. The play ground years were filled with so much adrenaline (or just normal child behaviour) days that I often visited the school nurse for scrapes, cuts and bruises. Heck, once I was running around with this one girl and I fell down and busted my chin open. It didn't hurt but I was afraid. I had to get like 6 stitches on the outside of my chin and 2 on the inside.

While at home I rarely went outside due to not being allowed since it was a pretty bad neighborhood. I did do some fun shit inside too though such as riding my matress down the stairs >.>
