The site is not accurate. I just entered in a gamertag and it said it was available. When I tried to make the gamertag it said it wasn't available.

The best way to check if a tag is still available is to make a new silver account on xbox.com and use the free gamertag change it has to check on tags.

yeah thats what i used to do but it wasnt as fast as this. Its normally really accurate for me so im not sure

You just edit the URL of a previously searched tag.

This is NOT accurate. I just tried 3 different gamertags, and all three said they where available when they actually are unavailable.

It's not a accurate site and not accurate information, It said 4 or 5 we're available and they were taken and used.
