RE: Help With Build

Okay I'm pointing out a few things to better improve it, and give you some knowledge.

CPU is good, but kinda over-kill, I'd drop it down to an i5 4690k as its still a very good CPU.

Motherboard is on a bad chipset for the CPU, you really should get a Z97 chipset board.

You should drop the HDD down to a 1tb WD blue, and get a 120gb MX100 SSD.

GPU is pretty below par for what you can get, I'd get an R9 285 honestly.

PSU is pretty low end, and its not very reliable.

You can get your windows os for free.

Again, crap PSU with an overpriced GPU (for what its capable of.. which is not a lot, unless you turn AA off. but who paids $300+ for a gpu that cant handle anti aliasing -facepalm-), could save money on Motherboard and RAM too

Yep. Also more of a personal preference for me, but I don't like the lower end water coolers from corsair.

H80i is a decent cooler, however the Enermax Liqtech 120X is probably the best 120mm AIO, beats the H100i sometimes. (obviously depending on the case and airflow and fans)

The PSU is cheap, no argument there. I haven't read anything on the 970, I just know it to be the go-to for budget builds. The RAM price is reasonable considering it's specs, you might be able to save $15 from another brand but 1866 CL9 doesn't get a whole lot cheaper.

The PSU is better than other entry level ones but it still isn't that great.
The 970 is just a no. 290x > 970 everyday. Read into the memory/bandwidth problems and how it affects gaming at 1080p (any resolution higher is stupid to even attempt on a 970

True on the RAM. latencies are okay below 11, depends on what you're doing and the speed of course
