Competitive or Fun?

When you play your favourite sport, do you like to play it competitively or do you prefer to play just for fun with friends?

If you just play with friends, then have you ever thought about making a team with your friends and starting to play competitively?

Depends on where i am.
If say im at P.E. i generally just do it for fun.
with friends i mix both, though during both of those situations people say i go full on, even when i don't.

Well, depending on which sport I am playing, because I love majority of them, I tend to play competively because the harder you play, the better you get. But if I am playing with a few buddies or for fun and I realise there isn't much skill out there compared to myself, then I will go easy but still try a bit. Unless its a sport I am not the best at, and I am decent, I tend to try a bit harder to keep up with the game.

Competitive in anything i do, especially basketball.. I personally believe if you're playing for fun, then you aren't giving it your all and i am one of those guys that likes to put 100% into whatever i do. ;p

Unless i'm either helping someone obviously, but i'll still end up playing competitively versus them when it comes time.

Yeah very true indeed. Which position do you play in basketball? Unless you just play with buddies but compete. I enjoy basketball as well, usually play PG (Point-Guard).

I play competitive football (soccer), although I seem to perform a lot better when playing in the local park with my friends...
I believe it's because I'm under no pressure to perform, so due to these reasons I prefer playing non-competitively

Well me being able to relate to you, I played soccer (competively) CPSL (Canadian Professional Soccer League) for about a year before I pulled my achilles tendant. But a great player, is a great sportsmanship, thats what we learnt as we progressed. But remember, when passing, keep your planted foot pointing to the direction you want the ball to go, different angels will make different types of passing, curves and so on. Just focus, shield the ball and also communicate with your team-mates.

Playing sports is my passion. Some people play sports for fun or else some play sports for competition. When i play any of the cue sport like snooker or pool or billiards with my friends i play it for fun but some times i play it for a competition with friends. But when i play same sports with my dad, i would play it competitively as my dad always says that you can't win in front of me.
