Yeah Ubuntu is Linux using the Gnome Desktop..

If you are not behind a static IP configured router try this

Open Command prompt type the following

ipconfig release

Press enter and then type this.

ipconfig renew

then press enter

and try to get on your forums.

If your ip never changes, you will have to contact ISP or use a VPN.

@groola: If you have the Opera web browser, you could try using opera turbo. Opera turbo basically routes all pages you visit through Opera's main server, processes the page to turn all images into a lower quality, then outputs the page to you.

The idea behind this is to help speed up page loading time, but the great thing about it is since it's routing pages through Opera's servers, you'll be accessing websites using their IP, so it pretty much acts like a proxy.

You cant change a static but you can proxy it or vpn it.

Really? thanks for telling that i had never listened that before
@OP: i know what Proxy is. But what is meant by VPN? is this the other name of proxy?
And yes i want to know that websites which tracks it users. So they track us through our internal IP or external IP?
