Damn straight. There have been mutliple cases where police were serving no-knock warrants where the occupants of the home shot and kill the officer(s) and were aquitted due to the fact that the officers didn't announce there presence. In this situtation, they had every right to do the same because the officers were in clear violation of the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution. If it were me I'd have had guns loaded, drawn, and pointed at the officers and after they barged in I would have opened fire. This is nothing short of tyranny, the kind of this the Constitution was designed to prevent.
 
Well they where looking for a convicted felon and they had reason to believe he was there which is why they actually didn't need a warrant in this case. If they ended up finding him in that house, the girls would have gone to jail for harboring a fugitive. By the way these ladies acted, it seemed like they had something to hide. To me it just seems like they were stalling the cops until the guy they were looking for possibly snuck out of a window. Then again, maybe he wasn't there and was just seen there a couple of times in the past. Not trying to be a smart ass or an asshole but some people just don't think before they speak. No offense.
I'm a collage student studying criminal justice and planning on being a law enforcement officer.
 
you do realize in some states it is legal now for cops to not need a search warrent like my state prob cause they can scome in without warning... passed that bill last year here
 

Being a college student studying criminal justice you should know all about the 4th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

You also have the right to kill them for breaking into your home. People have been aquitted for murder in cases like this where they've killed cops serving no-knock warrants because the officers didn't announce themselves.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue,
but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

They had probable cause.
 
serving no-knock warrants indeed but in my state like others are moving into they dont need warrents nemore prob cause is enough now
 

And their probable cause was? All they said was they were looking for a felon. They gave no reasoning of why the chose that particular apartment.

They were told by someone that the felon was there. In 44 out of 50 states, thats all law enforcement needs to search a residence w/o a warrant.
 
Not suprising with the way the justice system is going these days. Cops Use their power and title as a means to do whatever they want. It's honestly sad that they're the ones that are suppose to protect us but we're constantly afraid of their presence.

I'm not saying you're wrong about that but its a bunch of horse shit. Seeing as New York City is one of, if not the, most corrupt places in the US they quite literally could have made that up hoping to find a large-ish sum of money, which, under assest forfeiture laws, they would legally be allowed to keep for their department.
 
True, 10 police were suspended for brutally beating up a guy escaping on horseback.

Where I'm at with the whole police accountability thing is that they are sworn to uphold the law. If they break the law they should be executed for breaking their oath as well as the law. I do realize that most people will see that as extreme so at the very least make the penalities for it double what the average joe would recieve with a mandatory maximum penalty.

For things like felonies,yeah. In my opinion it should be up to the judge weighing the case. For misdemeanors though it should be double the current maximum sentence that anyonr else would get for the same thing.
