I have this annoying music theory assignment for guitar class, where we have to identify what string the note is played on (only open strings). Normally not hard, but problem being is the idiotic website isn't recognizing that my answer is correct. (You might have realized this is a rant thread, but it's about music, so I'm still putting it here <.<)
This was the "question":
The note is B, played on the second string open. Though according to that website the answer should be an octave higher. I tried both third string, first string, and second string and it told me they were all wrong. Now I'm going to have to tell my teacher that the assignment is screwed up and hope I don't get a late grade. Technology annoys me sometimes. inch:
That was before I answered the question. Had I have answered it I would have gone down to like a 40% and I would have been over the amount of errors allowed.
Yeah all my theory assignments are online, the only offline assignments are projects and practicing.
I dislike the theory portion of music, mainly because my 8th grade band teacher was absolutely horrible. (Literally, she gave us overly hard music that she couldn't help us with at all, if we had our old director from my 6th and 7th grade year we could have done it no problem though)
Dang bad teacher, ruining my views of band. At least she got fired the end of that year though.
Open strings only.
I know it's screwed up now though, I tried every string and it told me they were all wrong. I'll just have to tell the teacher it's messed up.
