I can't believe this, I legitimately started crying when I heard. He was a legend and one of my favorite artists for a long time.

That's what's upsetting the most, the man was an Icon. Are you from UK? everyone here seems to know him and social media has gone literally mental as well as the news/tv channels.

Everyone is hopping on the band wagon but I know you know of him, he was one of those people you'd never thought would of died. Waiting on morrissey and Robert smith

I've seen many jump on that band-wagon. I just hope these 'people' drag there eyes away from rap/pop and start a band with friends, I want a rock n roll come back.

It was so sudden, Bowie is one of the best artists to ever have lived.

I hope Moz or Smith don't plan on dying anytime soon, I was just watching this the other day.

Having him leave is a big shock. I honestly thought that it was a hoax when the first few posts came up on my Facebook newsfeed.

Truly made a lasting impact in music, art and fashion. Will be missed ...

I know of him but haven't actually listened to any of his work. I mainly focus on the UK scene although love US bands/solo artists that are different.

I'll check him out though man, you have great music taste so I'm sure I'll be a fan.

I was talking to my girlfriend about him when I googled him and it said ''4 minutes ago, David Bowie has passed away aged 69.'' I stuttered to myself and thought it was a hoax.

I wish it was a hoax, truly.
