Deja vu?

I've read a few articles based on the belief that life could be a possible simulation, I saw an article on HF asking why dreams are so real, I thought about it and I can't really place myself on a direct belief, the Deja Vu I've experienced has left me completely lost. I've had deja vu for a couple of years, often. Often being a few times a month, around 5-10 times. At times I've been able to see what's going to happen before it happens, ex : One time I was driving with my dad to Manhattan and we had to pay the bus toll, I remembered my dream, mind you I have NEVER seen this man before because I rarely go out with my dad, I remembered the guys face before I got to the toll, I also remember him taking the money and asking how we are before he let us go. I've had another occurrence like this before with my ex, I was actually able to stop myself from apologizing to her from something that wasn't my fault, that, I'm not sure if would be considered Deja Vu or me just having a dream, being stubborn in it and it ending up playing out, let me know your thoughts on the following, Why are dreams so real? Why does Deja Vu occur so vividly and happen somewhat often?

Thanks man, I've been really curious to whether or not others experience this, It's happened to me so often that it makes you wonder ya know? Had a dream I was running around looking for something a few blocks away from my house like 2 days ago, this morning I was running around looking for my dog haha.

I have Deja-vu from time to time, I love it. It's a weird, but nice feeling.
I had it just the other week, when I was talking to 2 of my friends over Skype and playing video games. And again a few days ago, at night talking on AIM with a few friends and watching a specific YT video.

It's very difficult for dreams to be studied since we forget a large majority of everything we just dreamed the moment we wake up. But I do know our brain activity is quite high when we dream.

Deja vu becomes a more common phenomenon during pubescence and late adolescence. However, gradually becomes less common as you age.

From what I've read beforehand it said that all faces from our dreams are faces of people we've seen before.

There are all kinds of theories out there that try to explain the phenomena. None of them are truly proven but speculating alone is very fun for me. Dreaming itself is still an unexplained phenomena in many ways, which is awesome because there is much ground we still have to cover. Either way, I love dreaming and when Deja Vu occurs (rarely) it is a nice feeling.
