I am not sure if there really is democracy here, cause...

Who choose the staff?

Mike and The Elite.

I mean, in real world, we have an election for the president. Why can't we have this at RuneGear too?

Now I am not saying he doesn't own the forums, so he is of course staff. But, if the community choose the staff, there are more than 2 - 4 opinions involved. If the whole community is deciding it will probably be a good choice, or you can make a 1,000 posts or more to vote for staff, as else, people might make multiple accounts.

So, what does RG think?

There's one problem. A lot of the time "the people" can't make a good, unbiased decision.

Have to agree with Dykerosoft, and to be honest, members choosing staff would be bad....

Therefore, there should be a limit on who can vote.

Lets say 100 rep+? or maybe 150? Maybe we should go with post count? I don't know, but I think the majority of RuneGear can make a good decision.

I think it's a great idea, unless The Elite is a Communist.

I have a feeling if you had 75 rep then you'd say "Lets say 75 rep+?"

I think people will vote for their mates because they've generally seen their good side.

I think it's best if The Elite, Mike and the Super Mods to have a 10 minute discussion one day, and that should be sufficient.

Indeed, but that was just an example. The Elite can decide the amount of rep.

Rep means nothing, and especially not for something like this. I agree with Joel, it should be left up to staff and the admins to decide.

How about sponsors+? They donated to the forum. Means they care about it, so the should make a good decision.

Sorry but TE/Mike own RG, and it should be there call who gets the promotions.
Complaining about there decisions are selfish, because you know they will usually always pick the right people, or remove people that aren't right for the job.

But yeah
tl;dr no, no,
and no.
