and also true. Doesn't have to be just minecraft, or minecraft whatsoever. DayZ could be popular, or TF2/Gmod. Gmod might be fun.

I love this idea, Servers like Garry's Mod, TF2, Counter-Strike: Source would definitely draw in more players, and plus, Gives all the members of Rune Gear something to do together, other than RuneScape.

The thing is, there would need to be mods of the games, and when shit does happen it will be put on the forum. iE: DayZ, Adam killing a friendly on his team.. is going to think he should report it to us and Adam should be punished.


EVERYONE would have to follow the rules and open there minds to accepting new people into the forum. Otherwise this isn't going to work. + The decision is up to @"Glen" more then anyone.

I'm always open to new people haha, If we host our own servers, Mods on RuneGear would be the mods on there, and Obviously there will be a forum dedicated to each of the servers so people can rant about a cheater, or if they were banned, ect.

And honestly, I think Glen would like this idea too.

I hope this gets implimented. While I don't own DayZ, i think it would be nice to have something like this. I've been wanting to buy it, but that probably wont happen for a little while. :/

I would be willing to participate in moderation for Garry's Mod, Private server or Minecraft ^.^ Only because those are the games I'm experienced in and this would be under Glen's or staff decisions + this would have to be implemented first!

You can't really run FPS's other than DayZ because of ping differences and you're not going to be able to please everyone.

@Haunter, Obviously there will be differently hosted servers, US, UK, Wherever. And well, we don't have to please everyone, if someone doesn't like the game(s) that the servers are hosted on, then they can simply just go on their daily lives, posting on the forums.

I just got another DayZ key yesterday so i'm ready for a RuneGear DayZ server.

Can it be hosted on a dedicated server, not your pc?

The thing is, if we have a server like this, I'd like to have a select few people be able to moderate it, and it NOT be hosted on somebody's elses PC.

The reason for this is that you'd have to be sure its up, you'd have access to administrative commands, and the connection wouldn't be near as good as a dedicated server unless you had portforwarded with fiber optics xD home-hosted servers tend to suck with more than 5 people on them at once.

Only reason you should have administrative access to a runegear server is if:
A) your staff
B) you've donated a significant amount (wouldnt be administrative, though a few abilities enabled for you. This would be good for stuff like minecraft!!!)
C) You're paying for the server to be hosted for RG completely. (total administrative access)

I am willing to pay for a 16-32 slot Minecraft server, hosting will be in US (Not a dedicated server, but 24/7 up time), dedicated IP, FTP access (for staff), Mod support, Multicraft, Bukkit, etc.
