So I was thinking, we could allow users to create "groups" or "clans" and allow them to have personal sections.

This idea sprouted from HF I suppose but is a little different.

Say someone created an official "RuneGear Merchanting" Clan or Group, it would not only have to be approved, after it was approved it could get an official section of it's own specifically for it's group members.

And they could also create official clan chat's for the groups on runescape and things of the sort.

If this idea comes into play I would think you would want to put a limit on how many "Groups" or "Clans" There could be, as we wouldn't want 100 sections for tiny groups, just a few main groups or clans that people could join.

Ideas for groups or clans if anyone were to decide to try to make some and lead them on the forum--

"Merchanting Clan"
"PKing Clan"
"Botting Clan"
"Skiller Clan"
"Pure Clan"

That would be a solid diverse little number of groups, people could apply to them and then once accepted get an extra nameplate that they can enable and they would be allowed to access an extra sub-forum just for their group, which would allow them to specifically discuss the kind's of things they do in-game.

I wouldn't think we would want to limit the # of groups they can be in, I think if this is brought into play everyone should have the right to apply to any of the groups that exist.

Please let me know your thoughts...!

RE: Official Clans Sections?

I've already created an account for the 'merchenting clan' , on runescape.
Though, my suggestion is still awaiting approval.

Just called dibs.
Anyways, again .. as already posted in a couple of other threads, i completely agree with this suggestion.
we're awaiting approval from 'the elite'.
