What about stop giving out these random lotteries and actually having everyone who has contributed to the site get something they can all love.

For example, what I had in mind was that with the new raise in VIP, can Admin or Mods take a small chunk of it and get re-issuable auths for VIP?

Just a suggestion, post your opinions I guess. o.o

He's pretty much asking for auths for "VIP's". We can all enjoy a good gamble, and it helps with the monthly fee of keeping runegear up...

He is suggesting that the management should use some of the money they are getting from subscriptions (e.g. Elite, Sponsor) to buy auth codes to give to the community who paid for it.

To the OP: That would be nice, but it seems very unrealistic.

The extra funds that they obtain is to upgrade databases and keep the site in tip top shape. It's a good idea but I don't see it coming.

We use the upgrades to pay for hosting and better the site, if we do not meet something we take the money out of our own pockets and use that.

Auths get banned very quickly if you share them.

I decide how to use the funds and where portions go. You request we purchase authorisation codes legitimately and give them to members. 10 codes will cost $100+ and will be banned in a few days. Instead of investing the money into better servers, faster loading times, features, contests and more for members, we should waste it on useless things.
