What's up guys? It's Dervie here and this is going to be my first event hosting on RuneGear. As you may have noticed, the title states "Dervie's Event #1, which means I will be having more and more events if this one proceeds to be successful. Most likely the period from one event to another will be monthly, and each event will be held for roughly 2 weeks. I'll try my best to host them at the first of every month, with the exception of our first event. Now now, the banner is horrible due to the fact I'm not such a great graphics designer, if you can make me one, feel free to PM me it! Credit will be due where it is required. I won't always have a big wall of text each event, I'm only having one due to the fact I'd like to state my reasoning.

Why am I having these events? Simply because Runescape is just a game to me, and I have tons of items in my bank and I thought it'd be great for me to share my wealth with other users, and allow them to enjoy it also.

  • In-Game Scavenger Hunt
- Basically from 2/13/2011 to 2/20/2011 there will be various hidden things around the forum, placed by me or another member, and you will have to find them according to a hint I give you. Since this month is the month of love (Valentines day), you objective is to find the dreaded heart!

Clues:
Day 1 - "Got a question? Ask Clint Eastwood!"
  • Winners:
  • Runescape & ireppgold.

  • You must have at least 20 HQ posts to enter (I will check this before delivering the prize)
  • You must PRIVATE MESSAGE me the answer
  • If you post any answers on the forum during the event, you will be disqualified from ALL my events
  • Don't like your prize? Then give it to someone else
  • The first two people to PRIVATE MESSAGE me the correct answer wins, I don't care if you're 1 minute after the first two PRIVATE MESSAGE, you don't win (unless the they're wrong)
These rules are subject to change at anytime without notice.

Everyday two users will win 1 million RSGP. Considering the time frame of the event is 7 days, a total of 14 million RSGP will be given out!

Infinity, i like that idea. Other than the fact that if you post random things, it would be considered spam.
So you'd have to hide the scavenger hunt within posts .. or, another idea .

Trivial contests are so .. played out in my opinion. The party room isn't much of a contest/event in my opinion as It's all internal within the game. I'd like to have contests that don't even have to relate to Runescape, but involves the community.

Yeah, don't do a trivia.. Google will be used.
The in-forum scavenger hunt sounds fun as Hell.

I can't think of any other ideas at the moment.

Just wondering, Could you explain "Hidden Things"? Will they be hidden words or pictures?

It'll be a little picture of a heart, in the spirit of Valentines day. I'm going to post the clue up soon.

and what do we PM u with? like oh its in this thread on post number #1 or something?
 
oh sweet, if we get it wrong, can we get a second guess or wait like 1 hour or something? i think there should be a wait time after each guess if its wrong

got it i think, VERY good scavenger hunt, luky i knew who clint eastwood is, then i realised, ey doesnt carbon have a 'ask carbon" post then im like, wait carbon's pic is CLINT EASTWOOD!! then i spent 10 mins trying to find it and got it :D
 
So are we supposed to find the thread with the heart or the answer of this
