Developer Console!

Did you know about it?!

The Developer console has been around for a long time[1], but was only made available to players with the release of Z-buffering on 15 September 2010. It may, according to Jagex, "prove useful in tracking down the cause of more technical issues with the client on your computer." You can view a list of commands by typing either help or commands in the window. It also displays Runescape's Build Number in the lower right corner.

To get to this console press the [`] (quote/grave accent) . It is found to the left of the '1' key on most English keyboards. The tilde [~] key on your keyboard is another way to open it. If you find yourself unable to close it, try holding [shift] while pressing any of these buttons.

This is the wiki link with command list.

Thanks for the nice little sexy guide.
Too bad it only comes with the worst commands out of the lot. D:

It's pretty cool, though.
Even though the commands are only mean't to help with technical issues.

It makes me feel like I have some power of the game, haha.

The day it came out, I tried some random commands that I used in rsps. (Like generating the new items and stuff). Haha. :p

How did that work out?Rofl.
I am currently creating a basic bot in Java. That will try many commands in the developer console.

Going to see if there is anything that I can "actually use" in their..haha.
I will keep you updated.

Well.. not too well.. -.-"

I'm pretty certin that Jagex made sure we only had those commands. However; good luck to you.

Yeah. I figured that but it shouldn't take long to scan through some basic words that Gaming Companies use on Developer Consoles.

It's been around for a while, it replaced old system of ::commands or whatever. Yeah there's some cool stuff you can do with it :)

I honestly see no point in it. I haven't really messed around with it. I'll probably try messing with it sooner or later.

Yeh awhile ago I pressed it awhile ago. Not too interesting lol

Just accidentally found it a few days ago, there is a bunch of useful stuff you can do, I'll post a guide later.

Please do! I'd love to actually see what it's useful for.
