Display names...

Well, I recently bought a rare name from sythe...I have since bought membership, and changed the name to transfer it to my main. But I'm curious, I know that RuneWikia says this:

I don't get the part with the 7 days. It says it holds it unless I want to change it back...But would it still be held if I changed the name again after the 28 days have passed so I don't have to wait the 7 more days?


I understand it may be hard to understand what I'm asking, so try your best, no biggie if you don't get it lol.

You can change it back after 28 days, you don't have to wait the 7 days since the name was previously yours..

But other people do have to wait 7 days.

They can change their name then they will be able to get their old username back for seven days after their 28 days are up.

I know I realize that part. But say this:

I bought the account named 4. It's a level 3 and I want to transfer the name to my main.

My mains name is dog.

I change 4's name to cow. Now I must wait 28 days for me to change it again, and in that 28 days that name will be held for me incase I want to change it back. After I wait the 28 days, there is also another 7 day period in which the name is still held for me. Now say I changed cow's(4) name again. Would they still hold that account's previous name for me or not. Because If I changed my name again, it shows that I no longer want the name 4 and it should be free'd up for others.

I'm asking if that would work..

you can change your name once and keep your name for that 28 days, after that 28 days and you change your name again, the first name is up for grabs, or if you wait 32 days or something like that after you change your name the first time, your original name is up for grabs.

Eh, whatever lol. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it. I think I have figured out the solution as to why Jagex does this and to my question...Just had to think logicly about it....Close this thread if you'd like or leave it open for debate I don't care...
