Well, since it is finally my 1 year of being a ForumKorner member. I have decided I'd leave Philly some feedback on what I personally think about his site. Honestly don't see a lot of feedback threads, though they usually help a forum if put in a productive and structured way. Not just "I hate it," "I like it."
Structure of feedback
Philly - Owner
Well, I shall start with the reason we are all here. Philly himself. Philly is a great forum administrator that I have seen. He gets shit done when it needs to be done. This forum has had it's ups and downs and he has always got it back on it's feet. Even after bullshit and the non undesirables. For me personally, he is quick with private messages that I ask, such as site policies, questions or donating. For example, when I upgraded to Power and donated for the donator award. He did it almost instantly after my message was sent to him.
He is actually active with the community. Posting around the forums and getting into the mix with his members. That is a nice change of pace than I see with older forums with lots of members/posts. It's more or less you see that type of thing on brand new forums trying to get members to stick around. Thank you for the forum and glad I could be a member of it for so long.
Staff Team
The staff team do their job pretty well, I have no complaints on how they operate. It's a fair sized forum, so I understand that they are busy from time to time. But they do answer questions quickly and professionally. Philly seems to pick good staff members, may they be moderators or full staff. Each of them to a part for Forum Korner and it shows as this forum is very friendly, active and always growing day by day.
I'm sure most people's main goal is to be part of that team. To help benefit Forum Korner that much more, but the team is doing just fine as it sits now.
The Community
What can I say about the lovely community here at Forum Korner? It's by far the friendliest community for the size given. Everyone is rather friendly towards each other and it is a nice change than the other forums that are full of trolls, flamers and just plain morons that have nothing better to do than sit on their computer and harass others.
It is one of the things that keep me around, I feel more inclined to post as I know I won't get an idiotic reply or just straight stupidity on my threads or against my posts. Everyone keeps a decent level of maturity and I like it, and will keep me here for a long time to come.
Theme & Forum Structure
The theme. Oh, words can't describe on how much I LOVE this theme. The blue is just so easy on the eyes when it's mixed in with the grays and blacks. Very responsive and user friendly. The little side bar on the forum is a nice touch too, displaying all your stats.
Alerts, yes the alerts. Love them too, I hate when forums don't have them because I hate trying to look to see if anyone has looked at my thread or quoted me in a post, rather than subscribing to a thread, I like this. Much more efficient. Whoever did this theme did a pretty good job, will have to thank him/her if I ever see them. (Highly doubt I will.)
Conclusion
My conclusion to this forum feedback. It's a great forum, everything about it I love. There is of course a small minor things I could live without, but nothing is perfect for everyone so I can easily deal with the imperfections to myself and look at the many, MANY positives this forum has and I hope everyone has as much fun and/or enjoyment out of Forum Korner as I do.
