i know everyone would not be in favor of this legalization of divorce in the philippines but for me i will go for it,because i believe everyone deserve to be happy.

I agree with that. Divorce should be materialized in our country. Why stuck yourself in a marriage that ruins your whole life especially those who got married at their early age. We all know that most of the time, early stage of our life, we are compulsive and aggressive in making decisions for our life.

Divorce is a way to get rid of the relationship you are not willing to continue.. So if u are not satisfied with that relationship then its your right to get rid of it. So i think it should be legal

I already answered this question on other forums. I don't agree to legalize divorce in the Philippines. One reason, I really believe the sacredness of marriage. Man and woman are bound by God and let no law of the land separate them

I don't agree with divorce. The essence of marriage is to unite forever. What would be the use of vow we made that we'll stick together no matter what. That's why when we get married we have to know whom we are going to share our life with. I think when we committed to a marriage, we are prepared for whatever "battles" we will go through. There is no certainty of what marriage brings but divorce would certainly be the end of it.

i do agree on the legalization of divorce here in phlippines... but theres always a but... i agree if there's a presence of domestic violence..
but if the only reason is they just want to be free again and find another person... well they shouldn't be covered of divorce..

Well I think Giving or Taking Divorce is not a good thing but anyway if some relationship has not been good and both couples cannot live happily then i think there can be a divorce and so it should be legalized but it is not good thing

I believe in the sanctity of marriage.and marriage for me is something that we need to treasure,and nourish,for it to become successful.. On the other hand,divorce can be helpful for others,it can save two people from living a miserable life.i think i would agree that divorce should be implemented,for as long as it should be given to couples who have no hope of saving their marriage.

I think divorce to be legal because when two persons are living together for the whole life and they are not comfortable with each other then there is reason to stay together they should be sapreted and find some one else for their life partner. with whome they can enjoy their life... so as for as my concern divorce should be legal not in philpines but in whole world...

i didn't know if it was illegal i your country.am in support of getting it legalized.if a person is not happy with his/her marriage then it does have the rite to move out of the relation.why should he /she be forced to live in with a person with whom he/she is not mentally connected or is in abusive relation?it should be legalized.

I can't see why Filipinos would not allow divorce to happen when in fact we have marriage annulment provision in the family code. Even the church who oppose divorce bill has church annulment of marriage which sees marriage as null and void in the first day of marriage. That both parties have disillusioned minds when they entered in the marriage contracts. Oh, let's face it, annulment is more worst than divorce because marriage is not recognized no matter how many happy moments the couples had share together until marriage went sour. It's hypocrisy to oppose divorce when annulment is allowed!

For me, I didn't agree in this law. It's written in the bible that a married couple shouldn't separate by man. They will just ruin a family if they do that. Man will just easily think that it's ok to get married because if I don't want to be in this relationship I can just get a divorce. It's not even good that a couple who got married to be separated because what will happen to their child? Family is the basic unit of the society who molds the future generation.

I personally disagree with Divorce because marriage is a sacred thing. To the Christians if we will read 1 Corinthians 7:39 it is on English Standard Version, it says ,"A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord". In Matthew 19 we can read ; Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one fleshâ€™? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.â€ .

But in our society today which is full of abused, sexual immorality and more problems occurs "Divorced" is not bad to be implemented. What does the Bible tells about divorce? Matthew 5:32 "But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery"
. That's why if ever the divorce will legalized here in our country it must be on special basis like abused or sexual immorality. I am not agree with somebody who wants to divorce with its partner because they don't love each other anymore.That reason will go promptly and make a person married for how many times. What if that person will not happy again on his/her second marriage? Divorce again? I guess that's not right. Temptation is just in the corner. Everybody will be tempted and since the divorce is just there, a person has the strength to go along with the temptation and soon leave the wife or husband. So, everything needs to be study well. They should weigh the Pros and Cons of the legalization of Divorce here in the Philippines.

As many couples get more unhappy every day , i think they should legalize it. Maybe those people would be more happier with a different person .
