Do you believe in afterlife?

I do, I know it seems stupid but I do. I mean I believe in God, I believe if you are a believer that your soul will go to heaven.


What do you guys think?

Afterlife is an outdated philosophy that involves a lot of wishful thinking and not a lot of critical thinking.

You don't have to believe in anything. What kind of logic is that? Why should you believe something just in-case it's right, when every other logical part of our brain screams at us for doing so. That's called the argument from personal incredulity.

@Leader I believe in it, because of what I believe in, a religion. Its my religion, this is based off of my religion, an after life.

I would like to believe that something that beautiful is real. However we will probably just rot in the ground.

It helps us sooth our pain when a loved one passes away and it's something that helps us not be afraid of death (as much).

Guess it's better than believing in it than not.

@Tadoe I get that, I left my church many times because there are tons of people that fake it and I am sick of some of the drama within the religion. I praise God by myself, pure and whole.

The religion itself is beautiful and it has helped me, you just do not need to get into the main stream shit and get sucked into drama.

Just because it is comforting to humans, doesn't make it any more true.

It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

I would like to, i think it would be very cool and interesting to be in the afterlife. i tend to always think about what will happen after i die and really think about it like for hours its weird but i like that kind of stuff.

Yes actually maybe not into another human but another species or something like that there is just so many things.

I hope there is, I don't know anything for sure, nobody does, we can only assume.
I love the idea of reincarnation, living another different life with those who you love.

I dont think there can be an afterlife. A soul is an infinite thing, is it not? What do you remember before you were born? Your soul wasnt created 16-25 years ago (guessing we are all in that age range) Maybe you were in another body, on another planet or in another universe. Or, maybe there is nothing. I dont even know if souls exist, its hard for me to understand the definition and how it differs from our physical body.

I believe in god, to an extent. But I have successfully died not too long ago before paramedics revived me. No there is talk that after you pass, blood in your brain still lasts for 30 minutes, which therefore seems to show affects of life still left once someone dies. But what I have seen was nothing more than darkness. No thoughts to myself. Nothing. All I CAN remember, was black. Nothingness. But for some reason after the poor decisions I made, I still survived when I shouldn't have.

And before anyone responds saying that others who have died and been revived saw heaven, or god, or anything really. During both birth and death, DMT (the chemical that makes you dream) is released in massive amounts. Whatever you imagine death to be is what you will remember if you are revived.
