Now I'm an atheist but I know the most common argument for the "God let's bad things happen" debate. It's apparently because people need to experience grieving, hurt, anguish, pain, suffering and all things happen for a reason, even if humans are sacrificed. If there was a God I understand the part that everyone needs to learn to grieve etc, but I don't see why an earthquake killing over 1 million people can teach that.
Now let's not change the thread into a "is god real thread", and I apologize if I've instigated that, just pointed out the christian excuse for God letting suffering happen.
On Topic: IF there was a God, and is exactly how Christians perceived him then it would be stupid to question if he's weak.
