In our country (India) we celebrate a lot of festivals Raksha Bandhan is one among them. On this day sister tie the holy thread Rakhi in their brother's hand and get blessings and complements from them. This festival is celebrated on the next week Saturday 13th of August. I wish all Indians to celebrate a great Raksha Bandhan.

Do you tie rakhi thread in your brother's hand? This festival is a good way to express the real affection, what do you think about this festival?

I am basically from southern part of India and here this festival is not celebrated traditionally like in north! But having shifted to northern India now for more than 50 years we celebrate this festival here along with locals and now it is regularly celebrated at our place! This is basically a promise from a brother to his sister that he would protect her from all the evils and he would be her saviour till his death! I love Raksha Bandhan festival as we three brothers have a single sister! Thanks !
