Do you have any pets?

I'm interested for the simple reason I was just reminiscing with my girlfriend about my old dog who kept escaping death in her final years.

I've owned 4 dogs in my lifetime, although I had the other 2 for many many years since a child and it was very heartbreaking to lose them.

We have had about 10 cats and lost 5, we currently have 5.. yes 5 cats. None of which are mine, they're my parents. Although I did once have my own cat, she was great and I have never been a fan of cats but she was good company and felt like a person to me. Unfortunately she got killed on the road and that somehow upset me. 

Does anyone here have any pets? lost any pets? lets discuss.

Yes I have a dog and a bearded dragon! My dog is my pride and joy, she is amazing.

Well, I have never owned a pet. My ex girlfriend had one for a while. She was a German Sheppard Pit Bull mix, and one of the cutest puppies I have ever had the opportunity to be around.

I particularly remember walking her around my ex's neighborhood without a leash, and this dog was just so obedient to us. I'd take her on runs, carry her when she'd get tired... I just wanted her to grow up strong and healthy.

Apparently, my ex's grandmother had the puppy put down because she was part Pit... but I would have kept her as my own if I was asked.

It's been years since then... it still eats at me, man.

Weirdly never had a dog.
Had a Russian hamster once. The red-eyed bugger wouldn't stop biting me.

Always been a cat man myself, just because they're so lazy and don't do much.
I normally go for rescue ones.

My family has owned 5 dogs since I've been alive. The first was a Pomeranian but they had to give him away after it bit me in the face. Second and third dogs were Cocker Spaniels and they passed away. Losing them sucked both times but the more recent one was devastating for my family. Fourth dog is another Cocker Spaniel but she is still alive. And Fifth is a Cocker Spaniel, Chocolate Lab, Beagle mix and she is just a puppy. I hate not being around them anymore though. I want to get my own apartment instead of living at the dorms so I can have one of my own.

I do. I have like 50 pigeons, they die all the time and i dont even feel bad.

I've got 3 cats, used to be 4 but one just died. I also own 2 dogs as well.
