I have seen the movie ten Commandments when I was a child and highly impressed by the movie! Though I don't know all the Ten commandments by heart I know few of them where we are taught about the morals standards to be followed in our lives! It teaches about loving your neighbour, not to steal anything, not to kill anybody, not to commit adultery , honouring one's parents etc. Since i am not a Christian i don't remember these commandments by heart as n body asked me to do so! well Do you know these Ten Commandments? Please rspond ! Thanks !

i'm a Christian, but i really don't know all the ten commandments by heart, but as a person you should also know what is wrong and what is right and by acting accordingly you'll be able to follow what is written in the ten commandments, so i believe it is not necessary to memorize it.

I do. There's a really fun way of learning them.

1. God is #1. (1)
2. Don't have any other idols. (Make scissors with your index and middle finger = 2)
3. Don't swear. (Make three fingers with your hand = W = Words)
4. Go to church every Sunday. (4 = 4 wheels on a car going to church)
5. Obey your mother and father. (Five fingers together on your head = saluting your parents)
6. Don't murder. (Six fingers = Point index finger to five fingers = gun aimed at someone)
7. Don't commit adultery. (Five fingers = platform, two fingers = two happy people together)
8. Don't lie. (The two fingers left out are 'lying')
9. Don't steal. (People who steal get their last finger chopped off)
10. Don't covet. (All ten fingers aimed at something you want)

Sorry if you didn't understand them fully. I need pictures to explain, but I don't have any pictures.

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+20:1-17&version=NIV here is the english translation of that.

that's the account from the Bible of the Ten commandments of God given to Moses on Mt. Sinai, its originally written in stone tablets. God has written it with his fingers.

I had seen the movie years ago and sometimes, it was even televised during the Holy week - every April, I guess. I was touched with that movie and with the Ten Commandments at heart, I never learned those in a single time. I learned them in different instances. I could remember that I taught children about the 10 Commandments and I read through each one, I asked myself if I am abiding with it.
Of course, those ten commandments serve as a guide on how we live as Christians and with that, I am still doing and learning the 10 Commandments by heart everyday...
