I don't have anything against religious people, I'm not religious, I guess I'm an atheist but I don't really like that title as I feel like it has a really negative connotation.
My question: Do you think people interpret religion too much?
I've read parts of the bible in school, and it seems pretty simple. I feel like everyone who's religious paraphrases the bible, interprets it, and makes it a lot more textual than it actually is. Everyone seems to interpret everything they read in the Bible, and it also seems like you can kind-of make up anything that is good and about God and call it religion. From what I've seen, everyone interprets God and makes him "love everyone" and so on. I feel like it's okay to interpret the shit out of the Bible.
I don't know if this quite makes sense, and I can try to elaborate if anyone doesn't understand.
Feel free to correct me, I'm all ears.
