Germany, will close all its nuclear plants by 2022.
Personally i think it's not a wise attitude cause we didn't find an alternative energy enough powerful to generate electricity on a massive scale and it will also increase our bill to replace nuclear plants by an alternative energy.
Yes. I think anything destructive should be permanently stopped. Even it has some positive use, I still think of the damage it will cause to the human lives as well as to the environment.
There are lot of alternative ways to generate power and electricity. Solar Power, Hydroelectric and Wind Power should be generators of power and Nuclear plants should be closed.
Remember the Japan Incident after the Tsunami? This is a wakeup call to most countries that possess that kind of power plants.
Nuclear energy generates a high percentage electricity in the country . Actually it is a very good alternative energy but it must be taken care and must be very careful .We must have experts who to handle it .Closing it is not a good idea because the nuclear is still active there. Nuclear plants will be safe if handle carefully . Even you close the nuclear plant , you have to abandon the place for a long time, and you cannot destroy the nuclear plant because it might react. The best way is run it till it is not active and all precautions must be taken carefully and seriously.

In my opinion, it's better if they closed those nuclear plants. Yes, people benefit too in those nuclear plants but we should think of the effect of these things with our environment and especially with people. There's a lot of alternative of getting power source. They better just try to explore about those source and enhance it. By stopping those nuclear plants, we put our environment and in our lives in good place. ^^
Nuclear energy is the single last resort to soolve our energy crisis..barring solar energy, of course. Just because a disaster happened in Japan does not mean we lose out on such a good source of energy. Why not keep the reactors in remote places like a desert and give adequate radiation absorption protection (activated charcoal is one of them)..
What i mean is that it doesn't make sense to close ALL nuclear plants knowing that many nuclear plants are very secure (better to close only the old or less secured ones).
We should strengthen the security of the nuclear plants through "stress tests" and in the same time, develop clean energies to prepare the future.
A Tsunami has little to no chance to happen in Europe and remember that the nuclear plant in Japan resisted well to the Earthquake.
i isnt a wise thing to do? of course it is. By the time of 2022, a rich country such as Germany will already have lots of alternative energies. And that is not to late, since other countrys either don't do it, or close them till 2040 or something like that, so Gearmany is a great example, and more countrys should do it
I do not think we should close any nuclear plants. In fact, i believe we need more with the growing demand for energy. Nuclear power is a reliable source of energy for the US and will stay that way in the future.
Yes I totally agree with your idea. Since it invented in this life, so many people die for it ! It's good way to safe our nateral resources but the worst thing for a safety life.
Beside that it also used in bad ways : army, weapon...
I hate nuclear by my heart.
It's a wise decesion to close all the neuclear plants. Because one of the most mordern countries japan couldn't handle it then what will happen to the others?
