i am from hindu culture and we have a lot many of the festivals around the year.we do have a fest coming on shortly and that's Raksha bandhan.its a fest for brothers and sisters in which sisters tie a silk thread on the hands of their brother and brother in turn pledge to save their sisters from all evils.
i have many friends from other religion and i actively participate in their fest too.what is your stand on this?do you take part in other religious fests which are not from your own culture?

Yes for one I celebrate the Chinese New Year even if I am a Catholic. The thing is, I believe in a few of their teachings and traditions and I think it is okay since it is more of like integrating another's faith to my own. It doesn't bring any destruction nor harm in my belief with Jesus Christ so I think I am not violating any rules.

I dnt have any other religion friend. All my frens are Christian so I never go to Chance to meet and greet and participate in other festival. I think its very gud if we can participate in festival other than our own religion.

Yes, I have got few friends from other religions, so during their festivals like Christmas or Id I participate in their celebrations as these people participate in our festivals like Diwali or Holi! I think it is more or less a common feature in India! Thanks !

No i don't but of course I respect other people's rights in celebrating their festivals based on religion they believe in and i make sure not to be a hindrance for them to be able to celebrate it smoothly.
