**Warning spoilers**
So I have watched this movie now 4 times and I finally understand it. For those of you who have trouble understanding it here is the main thing. Donnie is a depressed child throughout the movie then when he meets the girl he soon becomes happy and begins to enjoy life. Up until the point in which he chooses to go back in time and be inside of his room, Donnie is happy. The rabbit is giving Donnie the chance to enjoy his life, or at least what he has left of it. But then at the end Donnie has to make the decision and he chooses to be in that room when the plane cargo falls into his house. Now he made this decision because 1) he had already met the love of his life and when she dies there is no point for him to continue his life. So he decides to sacrifice his life in order to save his girlfriends by going back in time and having the cargo kill him inside of his room. Now he does this because this means that she would have never meet him, and because she met Donnie her fate was sealed and she was going to die. But he reverses this because of his life for this girl. This movie is just fucking amazing. Please if you have seen it tell me what you think. But I don't think that this movie is as complex as people think but then again I do think this movie has a complex theme as well as it is very hard to understand at some points. For example the significance of some of the Characters as well as the significance of some of the stuff that Donnie does. Please tell me what you think, if you have seen the movie.
