Should school students face mandatory drug-tests?

What is your opinion about these? Does it really helps or it could humiliate the young minds of students?

it helps i think because drugs can affect their studies and so their future..students using drugs should be treated as soon as possible.

At my school we got it once every trimester.
It's good, becouse then less potheads will be at school.

I agree to mandatory drug testing to students. I don't think it is humiliating. Instead it helps in a way that children would be aware that the school is really serious in preventing drug use and the parents too would be assured that should their kids be involved in drugs, they will be addressed properly at the earliest possible time.

No, this is not right, especially in a Public school setting, where Kids must attend school by law...so they must face mandatory drug tests by law as well? This solves nothing and gives us liberals more firepower. Kids that want to do drugs can and will, drug tests will not prevent a thing.

I think drug is very dangerous to once health & it has spread all over the world even in the schools so it is better to take some good measures to prevent it.

yaa it will help students as drugs effects the mental capability and damage our body. Students using drugs shud b treated as soon as possible otherwise they may bcom addicted and may cause trouble.

for me yes...it can help also to the teen ager to not using drugs before they now that there is a test before entering in the school.for me it can help.

With the state of public schools here in our place, drug-test should be mandatory. But It should be undertaken by the government, the high cost of a drug test is an additional burden to student's parents and the government, to carry its duty to uphold well-being and safety of the youth must shoulder all the expenses. I just hope budget to be allocated for this will not go to the pockets of corrupt education authorities.

Random Drug Testing should be done in any school since most teenagers nowadays are testing all kinds of things that they see and sometimes they are tempted to do even taking drugs. (Well, I encountered some students who are sniffing Adhesives as drugs) So if a student is positive, he/she should be treated and counseled in order to shape his/her future.
