Edward Snowden: The man with the power to start world war III

So I'm sure you've all heard of the NSA leaker Edward Snowden. If you havn't it's pretty crazy, guy pretty much says that the US government records, databases, and filters every single phone call, text, and bit of internet communication. They build profiles of people and save stuff for future use. That being said, what information does Snowden have besides that? Could he potentially have information that if given to the wrong country or organization, could get alot of people very angry and cause a global conflict? What are your thoughts?

If the government doesnt want the information to be leaked. It WONT get leaked. If Snowden knew something, he wouldn't be around. Our government is pretty good at containment. The thing with World War III is that the only true war would be with nuclear countries. All nuclear countries are permitted by the United Nations and are allowed to keep these weapons because they have a stable and uncorrupt government. There is no threat of another World War unless they have nukes and everybody who has em is smart enough not to use em. You shouldnt worry too much about it.

@Valiant your response is packed with assumptions on things that frankly are too great to be assumed. You know nothing, and neither do I.

This whole thread is an assumption really. The title is pretty misleading. OP is just guessing that he has more information, which he may, but it doesnt mean it would be worthy of a third world war.

Other thoughts: I commend this man. I wish we knew more, had proof etc. but, you know.

Well I don't think Snowden would want a World War 3. He wouldn't leak any potentially lethal government secrets and if he was forced to, by torture methods i believe he would rather be tortured than allow millions of people to die.

Let's say Snowden is providing accurate information. What does that say about the U.S. government?

Cannabis, nothing I already didnt know. Im well aware that the governemt isnt trustworthy. To what extent, im not sure. But under my standards they're like an 8 out of 10 when it comes to credibility, responsibility, and honesty. I KNOW that there are thousands of coverups, lies, misconstruities that haven't surfaced, maybe millions. Its not a matter of proving it for me. I am very aware that they havent been truthful to us "people" in years, or maybe ever. Proof isnt mandatory, but it definitely would provide closure. Even if they came out with all of the documents, and just laid everything out on the table and admitted to everything that they ever lied about, I still wouldnt believe them. The whole relationship between them and us is just too far gone, imo.
