I know many of you are babies and can't work real jobs because child labor laws, but for those of you who have jobs, What is it that you do?
Where do you work?
Part time? Full time?

What do you spend your paychecks on? Do you have bills?
Saving for something?

Have you donated to help out FK?

There's nothing wrong with still living with your mom. Mooch off of her as long as possible.

Are you under 18 and can only work the 4 hour shifts? or what?
Some grocery stores pay bank *-* and they give funds for college, surprisingly. At least here they do.

I have two official part-time jobs and work 35+ hours a week, as well as another part-time gig in which I am my own boss. I manage a car wash and I also work in the furniture department at a local shop. In my free time I detail local cars (wash, wax, clay bar, polish, etc.).

I am currently saving my checks for another Audi, as well as maintenance for my existing Audi. I pay no bills. I have not donated a dime of my earned cash to this forum, nor will I ever.

I will be attending college full-time (M-F; 7:00AM-3:20PM) in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. I have a solid aircraft technician (mechanic) job after my year of schooling. My area is very rich in aviation maintenance.

Very nice. I have two jobs as well but I pay bills every month ;w;
Trying to save up for a new car as well but there's always some kind of emergency that comes up and I have to dip into my funds :c

Have you received any grants/Financial aid for college?
Seriously it's wonderful that you know exactly what you're doing/ want to do.

Trying to prioritize bills and my retail addictions.
I want to help out fk however. so I think I'm going to just donate little by little when I can :x

Luckily I still live with my mother or I would be paying bills too. I'm only 18 and I'm just not ready to be on my own, yet.

Saving up for a car is not easy because it take so much time, and as you said, during this painstaking time all these emergencies and other predicaments arise in which you need money for. I have lessened my interest in saving for another car because I have well-maintained car right now, however, I would love to upgrade and keep the car I have had since I was 16.

Yes, I have received a federal pell grant. It is covering almost 75% of the cost. Being an aircraft mechanic isn't something I have always wanted to do, but I have always been good with my hands and have a talent for working on cars. Unfortunately there is an overabundance in auto technicians, so I figure why not take advantage of my area's aviation significance. Not only that, but I will be more than impressed with myself when I am an FAA-approved aviation technician. It won't be easy, but it will be well worth it. I seriously cannot wait to start class.

I'm rambling.

@Jason Yeah I understand. I moved out wayyyyy to early and I had to move back in with my mom. It was TERRRIBLE. Don't leave until you're actually ready. I'm back on my own again but I'm just making it by.

I finally paid off my car and there are so many fucking things wrong with it, so I think I'm just going to finance for another and do a trade in or something. I'm sure you're gonna do great in school and be an amazing aviation technician one day. ^^

@Random Every little counts silly.

I work full time at a Japanese restaurant. I'm a cook and a sushi chef and do at least 40 hours a week. I did 51 hours last week because I had to cover a shift for someone. I don't really spend my paychecks, I save up. Over the past 9 months I've saved about $6,000 extra. My brother is going to Japan for 3 months and I'm borrowing him $5,000 on his trip. I was thinking about getting another job but Fall is coming around aaand collegeeeeeee.

I used to do construction full time, started doing carpenter work and yard work when I was 14/15 then construction when I turned 17. Spent most of that money on stupid shit, so broke again, no job, and living at home. But after I get a little bit saved I'm heading to Florida to move in with a good friend of mine.

The pay was good, around $500-1,300 a week depending on hours and the type of work we was doing. But the hours and work schedule was horrible.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you do to make that much money in an hour?

I work at a bakery / distribution center. I make pastries, danishes, cakes, cookies, anything with dough. I only make $11/hr, but I make out 40+ hours every week. I have my own apartment. Although, I terribly miss living at home & having spending money.

Paycheck goes to:
Rent: $725
Electric / Heat Bill: $100-$150
Phone Bill: $140
Car Payment: $178 monthly
Baby Stuff (IE - formula, diapers): $200 or so. Babies are expensive.

All of those reasons are 90% why I'm not as actively buying / selling / taking part in the marketplace section anymore. But I still enjoy talking to others on here & learning new things.

I've had a few jobs in the past. I worked at an E-Cig shop. I spent every pay check in the store.

@Novelette I fucking love sushi holy shit. I wish I could just make my own :c
@Sarcasm I'm proud of you for knowing you're graduating for sure. Make that paper
@Plague when I was working retail I spent it all on stupid shit as well and went to the broke unemployed stage. It sucked ass. Dw though you'll get back on your grind again. I'm also in Florida, you'll love it here ^^
@Mike I envy you.
@Beats I didn't know they had stores specifically for e-cigs. here they just sell them in gas stations lol. I you too.
@Trap Finalllly someone with bills. I don't know about the baby part just yet but my god. It's a lot for one person.

I'm a regional manager for MAC cosmetics and at night I'm a receptionist at our local college.
They both pay extremely well, being regional mgr is mostly work done on the computer / phone so I never really have to leave home unless I do store visits ( like twice a month). And the receptionist job is super fucking easy. I just have to look pretty and transfer calls (um for 16/hr? Fuck yes.)

a month-
Mortgage: 850
Insurance: 175
Phone: 50
Cable: 100
Electricity: 120
Water: 80
Groceries: 400
3 CCs payments: 150
Gas: 100

@"Glitter Milk" yeah they have tons of stores selling e-cigs.

Also, don't buy e-cigs from the gas station. They are totally rip offs and are shit. Plus, some of them sell liquid that is harmful.
