Energy Drinks such as Rockstar, Redbull, Jolt, etc. *Kids heart stops beating*

Heard about a story on the news a few days ago, apparently some kids heart had stopped beating. This was caused by the Rockstar energy drink. The doctors also tested the energy drink, and it was evident there was a lot more caffeine than the amount being shown in the Nutritional Facts.

Do you know more information?

Did he drink more than 1? Was he overweight? etc...
Because that could've played a factor too. Still sad though

I stopped drinking these a while ago, I knew there was nothing good about them.

I've only had about 6 in my entire life. They do taste pretty good and they definitely keep you awake. But I knew they were terrible for my health.

Off topic- I only have 3 stars now?

They have never kept me awake, I'd rather just drink coffee.

Well the thing is that energy drinks are quick and easy to get, you just grab a bottle of it. Whereas making coffee is a pain if you're in a hurry. I personally don't like the taste of coffee either.

What I know:
This was a teenager
He may not have had more than one drink per day, but he was obviously jugging these Rockstar drinks down on a regular basis.
I personally have never tried one of these drinks. Some of my friends will purchase a few every now & then, but nothing major has ever happened to them :S. Maybe it had something to do with the kids metabolism.

I drink them to stay awake when I code, but meh, my heart's fine.

Yea, I would think that if you drink less than 5 a week there wouldn't be a problem. It's just if you have multiple a day there could be some issues.

I only drink Red bulls whenever we're on a trip and we stop by a gas station. Besides that I don't touch em.

This is why I stopped drinking energy drinks a few weeks ago, even though I was told years in advance.

But can't a company be sued if the nutritional facts are wrong?

Maybe he drunk more than what was recommended? Rockstars are not going to hurt you, not reading the label can though.

I drink them all teh time, im not dead.... I don't think I am anyway...
