There's an extremely enormous and detrimental misconception that eons of deception, social conditioning and psychological rape has delicately, yet, clandestinely fabricated into our thoughts. That lie namely being that pain is bad. Pain boundless of mental and physical connotations of malignantness is tremendously good. Words cannot express what a paramount of benevolence it is. It is the most profound source of will, wisdom, inspiration and motivation one can clutch and utilize. Pain may entail physical and mental adversities, sometimes exceeding past points seemingly unbearable, however beneath the inevitable hardship and insinuated woe, lies unfathomable revolutionary potential for prosperity and growth.
This misconception has branded the general public with the fallacious thought that perhaps pain can be avoided and persevered without endurance. Escapism: the avoidance of reality by absorption of the mind in entertainment or in an imaginative situation or activity. The general public holds a titanic preference towards a lifetime of great inconvenience over momentary, yet, necessary intervals of uttermost affliction. We submit to escapist lifestyles and mentalities in attempt to avoid the agony, however, not realizing we're only worsening the debacle by not embracing pain. We're afraid and that's okay, however, this inauthenticity vessels the feasibility for mass exploitation of ourselves and distorts the truth that endurance of pain is essential to personal growth.
The corrupted utilize our fears, insecurities and desires to escape to merchandize you false realities for their fear based or capitalist agenda to render you into a thoughtless consumer drone, a zombie. They exploit our insecurity based wound through psychological manipulation by means of the mainstream effect, commercialism, schooling, music, tradition, religion, media, television, culture, etc., then profit off their malignant, though, seducing fallacious formulas of wishful thinking, cigarettes, alcohol, narcotics, electronics, and high-end designer clothing through the machinery of materialism, in which all consist of the falsehood that their product can sincerely remedy the pain, however contrarily, manifest pure adversity of a lie. Submission to the exploitation, consequentially, entails an escapist mentality, a distorted reality, and a constant dependency upon products to entertain a false sense of happiness and their unauthentic life. Consumerism is the subjective price of everything and the objective value of nothing. The only authentic sanctuary one can find is oneself, not some god who requires you to ironically and ridiculously surrender your greatest tool to deciphering reality then childishly threatens you with eternal damnation if you don't, not seductive self-destructive drugs, not any convenient title or identity, no, not meaningless materialistic objects which advertise false realities, nor even your darlings and loved ones, but oneself.
The escapist prioritizes stimulation over sensation in effort to delude themselves from reality. The escapist cultivates an environment subsisting of compulsive materialistic consumer desires to feed the consumer identity they bought to escape from reality. The escapist valorizes countless hours of time to mindless entertainment by keeping up with the latest mainstream commercial music, TV shows, movies, and celebrity and local gossip. The escapist utilizes their occupational titles, race, nationality, and fashion style to grant themselves a false sense of identity. The escapists consents to a self-destructive life of substance abuse to dull and distort their reality. The escapist entertains themselves with irrational and illogical claims representing a faulty perception of reality. The escapist submits to the machine of anti-thought and loses themselves in an atmosphere of simulated and pseudo interaction via video games, social networking websites and online personas. The escapist sacrifices authenticity for social convenience, forsaking precious time for personal growth and an authentic life experience. I hope you're not vain enough to deny that I just described you.
