I Agree. It is definitely a medium of prostitution, drug dealing etc. It will be as same as Tagged.com's fate where all illegal activities are legal there.

But It isn't that bad too much, it is a communication medium still. Not as a medium of criminal activities.

Yeah you all are right but these things are really impossible to stop anyhow.
Ok let's assume social site are closed so can the illegal works be stopped. I think no because if thinking in that way all e-mails and internet services needs to be closed.

It can bring disadvantages or bad effects to others,if they will use it in a wrong way,or for a bad purpose.we alL know that facebook is created as communication tool ,but others take advantage of facebook and sometimes lead to crimes like being raped by someone who she just met on facebook.i think it is not the facebook to be blame,but the people who are doing crimes.

I agreed and it is somehow the bad effect of social networking site. In every new trend it is expected that people will somehow abuse it and that is very sad. That's why it is very important that we need to be responsible with our actions. "Think Before you Post" on Facebook and accept only invites from friends and people that you trusted.

Facebook doesn't have all that much "criminal activity" though. If you look at craigs list, that one of the biggest sources of prostitution...

Social Networking site is created to connect with people that will benefit the users in a good way. However, there are some that most of the time abuse its usage bringing ill effects and disadvantages on the network itself, destroying its aims and objectives. I agree that facebook is being used for illegal activities but we must not blame it to facebook but rather to the people who make use of facebook for their bad activities. facebook is not created for bad things but for good intentions of bringing people connected with one another, bridging distances and differences in space and time. Facebook is not bad, it's the people who use it the wrong way , facebook is not to be blamed for these cyber crimes!

yes..there is dis-advantage if you are using facebook w/poor knowledge...
poor knowledge means....if you dont know the person dont trust.
thats why a lot of crime now in fb user thats why that is the disadvantages in our community...
