Factors which affect the internet speed!

Internet plays a vital role in our todays life,but what r the things which affect the internet speed? Have a look to the following factors!
1st.bitrate it means how much data is suppleyed at a time.
2nd.bandwidth it is capacity of data transmission.
3rd.attenuation it is disturbance which is caused by electromagnetic waves.
4th.Transmission media which type u r using wired transmission or wireless transmission.
All this factors r related with service provider,so it may varry..!!

Hi,
Nice information but you can do some techniques to increase the speed of the internet.For Example If you want to increase the bandwidth you can follow the Following steps........
click start > run
- enter "gpedit.msc" and hit ok
- go to computer configuration > administrative templates > network
- click the folder "QoS Packet Scheduler"
- right-click "Reservable Bandwidth", select properties
- Change it from "Not Configured" to "Enabled" and set your bandwidth limit to "0"
- Select OK

- Go to "My Network Places", then "View Network Connections"
- Right-click your internet connection you want this to work for and select Properties.
- Make sure "QoS packet Scheduler" is checked off.

- Close everything and restart your computer.
You can check the difference by comparing the speed of the internet before and After using speed test in the site http://www.scanmyspeed.com/
