Fake Smile vs. Poker Face

Do you think it's better to smile fakely or not to smile at all?

I personally think smiling can always be good and can make someone else a bit happier so why not hiding your pains and smiling?

It comes down to how much respect you have for yourself. I know smiling would make others around me happy, but it disturbs me inside to know that i'm faking it. If you have a problem, solve it, dont cover it up. I dislike when people tell me to smile for pictures. Its so fake, I think your current mood should be captured honestly at the moment. Instead everyone stages candid pictures and.. it grosses me out. Poker face tryhard for life.

That's totally how I feel. And you cannot solve problems like someone's death, parents disputes, someone's cancer... So you should smile (and pray for religious people out there) because life goes on.

I agree. I feel awkward when I fake smile, for pictures or any other reason for that matter. It's always better when it's just out of pure happiness. But I usually just awkwardly look at the ground as I'm passing by people. Haha

Really? I usually stare straight into people's eyes to intimidate them haha, unless it's a cute girl, in which case I'd smile at her.
Confidence is key gentlemen.

I don't really care for faking a smile, especially due the fact that my smile is pretty awful.
