Hehe it's been a while since I watched them, my mother found out of them and doesn't approve . Good thing she likes the office .

No but if it wasn't oriented at specific races you could still laugh. Since laughter arises from a feeling of superiority it doesn't have to be a group but just someone. If that character or someone is imaginary then no one is offended...

Family Guy:

It's hilarious, but to some people they find it majorly offensive. There was a show, at one stage where a group of people protested, they wanted Family Guy off the air. It's very funny, and racist. I respect other people's opinion, but I think it shouldn't be taken off the air, there are thousands of shows out there, more racist/offense than Family Guy.

I do agree. Have you seen their 100 episode? They do interviews with people who have never seen it. And some of them really rage lmao.

Nah. People rage in general. I like this forums a lot, but I think it's taken way too seriously sometimes. That's why I left in the first place. It was ran too much like Hack Forums. I see now though that it has progressed incredibly so I'm back. But seriously, people could lighten up.

Some people are too sensitive and need to live a little.

I'll just give you an example. Today during class we had nothing to do so we were allowed to watch family guy. It was the episode where they go to Paris. They were making a couple of black jokes, paraplegic jokes. They were rather light with those jokes but then they made a comment about muslims. Bonnie says I'd even get with a muslim. My class didn't laugh, I think people understood that was a bit too far. I really like the show, its just great but I think they need to tone down on the paraplegic jokes.

South Park does the same thing, if you want a sense of humor you need to laugh at yourself.

I've seen a few episodes of south park. I just don't find that show funny. I did enjoy the towely episode though. Even if family guy gets full out racist if they keep up jokes like this one (http://www.funnyjunk.com/funny_pictures/1951369/Family+Guy+Chris+s+Blanket/) I'll continue to watch. Couldn't find a youtube video for it only those pictures. But its jokes like that I just love

It's just that political correctness is getting to peoples head, and everyone is sensitive to everything. For example, I'm a Christian, and I think TheAmazingAtheist is funny.

I get where your going at but sometimes it hurts because I'm sure a majority don't agree with that guy (just watched it). But I can honestly tell you that being from a Middle Eastern country I get a lot of terrorist jokes. Now most are jokes but a lot of them are rather serious, and I'm sure America is becoming more and more afraid. I like jokes about masturbation, habits, those kind of things. I just don't like anything that targets a specific group.

Please read the thread before posting: "A good laugh or offensive?" Its not a debate about whether or not it should be aired or whether choice lies with the viewer. Its whether or not the content is offensive.
