Post your favourite rapper, and why.. I'll start

Artist: 9 Gramm

Reason: as a child, he was tough and got in many street-fights, and proved he has what it takes to win. he also made the first record label in the urals and became famous.

Artist: Hopsin

Reason: Reminds me of eminem and this flow is sick asf, he didn't grow up poor that i know of but he is still a good ass rapper.

Best song(for me): i'LL Mind Of Hopsin 7

Ay Hopsin is my favourite too!

Artist: Nas

Reason: EVERYTHING he ever wrote/rapped was real. When hip hop died he didn't lie to himself and instead made it into something.

Best song: NY State of Mind
Favourite album: Illmatic

Artist: 2PAC

Reason: This guy excelled at using lyrics with real meanings and making that shit flow, his music was the shit, and he fucking had Thug Life tattooed on his abs.

Best song(for me): Only god can judge me.

Artist: Overall; DOOM

Reason: Really hard to explain, he isn't the best rapper by any means but the music he makes is just perfect imo.

Best song: Doomsday or The M.I.C

Best Album: Operationoomsday

I could go on for hours. Hip hop is much bigger than most of you think. There's thousands of styles and levels and generations of rappers that it's hard to pick one. As for most influential I would say Jay-Z in his prime.

Song: 99 problems more specifically the second verse. Or the song d'evils. Real lyricism and multi syllabic sentence structure.

Album: either blueprint or 99 problems.

Again I could talk all day about the underground rappers/ overrated rappers. At the end of the day it's all about the roots of rap. And who played iconic roles. Also rappers like Big L and Proof that never got the chance to make as big a difference as they could have themselves- have certainly inspired those who came after to do so.

Artist : Schoolboy Q, Tyler the Creator, lil B.

Reason: gods

My favorite rapper is Joey Bada$$, just because I knew him and his group of friends as I was growing up.

Most definitely Kanye West. He has had such a steady flow of product within the last 10 years. Each year releasing better and better shit (except maybe not for 808s & Heartbreak lol)

HOWEVER - SOME HONORABLE MENTIONS (no order just off the top of my head)

tyler the creator - because he always says weird things
mf doom - because he is mf doom
quasimoto - his voice, his beats, and his lyrics are so unique
ghostface killah - of course
earl sweatshirt - one of my favourites
biggie - legend

i don't even know where im going with this lol
