Hey, I got a little bored and had some spare time so I thought I'd release my opinion and feedback upon you all. I am just going to say that this is how I feel about these things, like it or not. You may have your own opinions on some of these things; that is cool and I respect that, but this is just how I feel.
So I'll start off with the site. The layout of the site is just like any other which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Though honestly, the recent layout change seems odd to me, but it just needs some getting used to. There is a place to talk about almost anything you need to, within the guidelines of course. Everything is neatly organized, with section moderators keeping order in the popular sections. There are a few sections that are quiet, but in a growing forum such as this one I can expect that to improve. For the contests, the whole posting contest being canceled hardly bothers me, but some of the newer contests such as AoTM and PRoTM seem to be falling behind.
On to the staff. First off the staff/management as a whole are excellent. They do their job well and keep the forum running free of spam and keep the fights to a minimum. I'll share my opinions on each individual staff and management member however.
I'll start off with The Elite. He does a great job managing the forum. Being 16 myself, I know that there is no way I could balance sports, school, and a network of forums as efficiently as he does. He presents himself maturely and professionally as if he were in his older years. He does a great job, keep up the good work.
Next we have Mike. He also does a wonderful job. He is polite, and is clearly management material. He can be a bit strict, but with some of the stuff happening around here, it is necessary to retain order. Overall great management member who does his job professionally and politely.
On to Dykerosoft. As a stand in management member you did an excellent job. At times I was almost afraid to private message you for a reason I don't even know, but I did and found out that you were really polite. As a super moderator I you do an excellent job as well. Keep up the good work.
Now for All Day Win. Does a wonderful job moderating the forum. Keeps the spam/ fighting to a minimum. At times I feel as if you can be slightly rude to other members, but I only see it when they are rude to you first. As for quality, it could improve maybe a little as there is always room for improvement, but it is the internet so it doesn't bother me.
As for the next three staff members, Oxide, Vanquish, and Chewboxxy. I'm sorry, this is more of my fault than yours, but I haven't seen enough of your posts to give a good opinion on you. It may be me just not reading where you post though. You three and the above management/staff do a wonderful job however. It is clearly evident on the bans.php page.
Now I'd like to talk about the member base as a whole. I'm not singling anyone out at all, this is talking about every member. As a whole, I see quite a bit of complaining. Not every member complains but when someone does it usually results in some sort of fight between staff and other members. Some members are just flat out rude, having no respect for other peoples opinions at all. I find that unfair. You don't have to like, talk to, or deal with that member, but you should always respect them. Then there are the decent, mature, and respectful members that are friendly. For the amount of people that makes up our active member base, I find the number to be great for a growing forum such as this.
The forum has excelled in many ways and I find this site to be an enjoyable place to post and spend my time. And for that, I thank you.
