I have a talent for tuning mopeds. you might want to profit from it.
I, personnaly, know mopeds which go to 130km/h and higher, three wheeled mopeds doing a good 80 with 5 poeple on it.
Actually it's called a broken useless moped fixed by a talented enthousiast. You are all talented, if you visit this blog: You managed to use a computer. You are enthousiasts, because you are reading this blog. You just need to get a few tips about how to boost your moped

If you want to speed up your moped, your going to have to take it apart and then back together. So take a screwdricer and a clamp and start looking at it.
Your aim is to understand exactly why, when you throtle up, your moped goes forward.
just be carefull not to break anything!

Once you're familiar with the functionning of your moped: (shouldn't be too hard)
-You take out the wheels, grease the bearings. also, make sure the breaks don't touch the disks.
- Work on the transmission: grease the bearings, tighten all the bolts so everything turns fine, but doesn't move.
- Knock out the regulator: a thing attached to the same place as the throttle cable, which turns throttle down when the motor goes too fast. (beware, this is illegal in some countries)

Now you're gonna work on the clutch
You have to identifie if it's a automatic or manual clutch.
If it's manual, then you have the back break to the foot
What you do if it's manual: you take it apart, clean all the parts, mahe sure the springs aren't deformed, the discs not bent. If they are, change them.
If it's automatic: you have different types. In any case you take it apart carefully.
-either it is centrifugal: you have a sort of bowl connected to the wheel through a chain or whatsoever, and a part with fingers retained close to the axis by springs, atache to the motor. what you do: you clean the fingers, especialy the velvety part. you cleen the bowl, especially the inside. you chexk thet tre springs are tiht, but that hey can be streched. you might want to change the velvets, it's up to you.
- The clutch can also be inertial/frictionnal. Then you have a transmission belt and not a chain, which goes from the wheel to a kind of yoyo: the clutch. the belt sould not be tight when the motor is not running, but should tighten when riding.
What you do: You take the clutch apart, clean it, inside and out, check the belt for flaws. if there are, change it.

Now you're going to work on the motor itself.
You start with the air filter: cleen it, or change it. If you live in a blace with cleen air, you can even remove it. just be carefull it canbreak your engine if dust or sand gets in it.
Then the fuel injection: make sure the fuel pipe is not obstructed.
Then comes the carb: Remove it, open it, clean it. There should be two things obstructing it: The throttle: it is thone that moves when you turn your wrist on the handlebar. Make sure it does not block the air intake too much when it is open.
The other obstruction mixes the air and fuel. take a drill and put an extra hole on each side of it (not too big).
Then make sure the pipe going from the carb to the motor is cleen.
Then take out the exhaust. Put detergent, high presure water spray, a lot of air, what you want, put it must be clean (a bit anyway) and you should feel you are blowing through an empty pipe when you blow through the exhaust (although blowing through an exhaust isn't exactly the smartest thing to do...). Be carefull when you put it back not to leave any leaks, (same for the carb and everything else actually.)
Now you open the actual motor block. (this is for 2 stroke engines). You carefully seperate the different parts. You want to see neatly in font of you the spark plug, the cylinder, the piston, the shaft, and the bead bearings. You cleen everything, if some parts are a bit rough you smoth them down gently with fine sand paper. You put a drop of engine oil on all the parts and spread it with a greassy cloth. The parts sould be greasy but more or less dry. Put everything back together. Ride. se if there's an improvement. If not: Your moped was already good, you haven't fixed it well, or it has a major problem.
In that case post it.
