Forgot My System Password, How Do I Get In?

I was recently about to have a yard sale and while I was digging through shit I found this laptop. The only problem is that is has a system password, and I haven't a clue what it is. I've tried inserting a Windows 7 installation disk and I tried to run "Boot And Nuke" on it all to no avail.
Does anyone have an idea what I could do?

Not sure what device the BIOS is on (most likely CPU or mother bored, but I'm shit at hardware) and try and find a way to reset it to default settings?

I have already attempted this also, I disassembled part of the laptop and removed the bios battery for a few minutes.
