I have seen many threads talking about things related to the forums that usually end up in debates. So I figured why not make a thread in the debate section specifically for it?

Just throw any of your ideas, thoughts, issues, or anything else that is related to the forums here. Let people debate about them.

Perhaps something constructive could come out of this.

I will start off with this:
One of the things I want to talk about is contests. The singing contest I hosted only got 4 entries even though more said they would do it. Also, I am currently hosting a contest where you have to find images hidden on the forum (3 still need to be found). So far only 2 people have found things and I only know of 3 or 4 people that attempted looking for them. What kind of contests, if any, would interest people? What rewards would be better and more appealing than RSGP? What should the difficulty level be? Etc.

Discuss.

Well, I'm not home or have a pc near and the OS of Blackberry phones suck. I can't open more than 4 tabs on the browser without it crashing the explorer. And even less if those websites are big, and this being the reason why I can't look for the images.
About the singing contest, I'll record myself on Friday and hopefully edit everything and submit the entry on the Saturday.

I'd like to debate a little bit about the decission RAF and Glen took; resetting the forum. I think we should have the Gaming and a Computers section where we have things like programming, help with computers, 'hacking', etc. And a question I've is, (@"RAF", @"Glen") are we keeping our ranks? RG Elite, Sponsor, Premium, etc.

I want Gaming Servers for various games, to attract new members and to get together with each other, This would be an awesome forum activity. Also, The Sponsor color needs to be re done with something brighter, Just my opinion.

Lastly...Focus more on gaming.

I know a few people were playing DayZ with each other yesterday. I think it would be good to get more ways for us to get together and do stuff.

As for the sponsor color, it is perfectly fine as is. We have gone through this many times. No need repeating something with the same reason or you will just get the same response.

So your first paragraph, are you agreeing with the whole idea or...?

As for your second, As a sponsor I have a say in the color, and I think it should be changed, If you took the time to give me a chance, and put out an official poll, I'm sure other members will soon agree. Even if they aren't Sponsor.

We have had multiple threads on this. You already had it changed once. It has been decided that there will be no variations of a color that is already being used by staff. All premiums will be the same color. Underground is dark (bolded) black and normal members are black. Banned users are red. Veterans are purple and RG Elite are pink. Orange is the only good option for sponsors. That is how it will be staying for now unless you can give me a good color that isn't being used or a variation of something being used then I might take it into consideration.

Well, Lets get back on topic I guess then. ^^.

As for the gaming servers, Like Captain Falcon suggested, Servers for Garry's Mod, Counter-Strike:Source, DayZ, Minecraft, maybe even other FPS games would be a great way for RG users to get together and enjoy being with each other instead of being on the forum every day haha.

It would bring in more users, and money from them buying Underground, Premium so on.

(And from people possibly buying in-game things)

why dont we have a maths debate?

theres a whole bunch of different stuff you could do ith contests, atm the best reward in my eyes would be RSGP.

i think the majority of people have more rsgp than it would be worth them entering a contest for here though, which would explain the lacking of submissions.Also something as specific as a singing contest narrows down the mount of people that can join (if you have a bad voice you wouldn't enter) so maybe you should put emphisis on the areas your contest would be judged and perhaps up the award (optional, but youd get more entries)

as far as any other issues i have with the forum, they are minor, and just general issues you'd hve in a community enviroment (disliking people, changes etc.) but hey ho, this forums been good to me so i stick with it
