New Plugin
This past week, @Philly decided to implement a new plugin which allows you to tag any user when you put an at sign, following the user's name in any post. The plugin also sends an alert to the tagged user's MyAlerts inbox. However, alongside with the new plugin came complications and obstacles. Users have been reporting that there's an inability to tag users with spaces in their names. Users also have reported that they're unable to end their posts with the sign due to the punctuation that follows directly after the username. Users with punctuation and special characters in their name have also reported an inability to be tagged.
Alerts Malfunctioning
@Philly made an announcement addressing the topic of alerts malfunctioning this Sunday. He manifested that he's aware of the current issues with the MyAlerts system and that he's currently tackling with the issue, alongside with enabling the option of receiving alerts when one's tagged in a post.
Posting Contest
An official ForumKorner posting contest commenced this past week, with grand prizes. Third prize: $10 dollars paypal, 20,000 koins, next upgrade, next donation award, and up to 10 dollars in prizes off amazon. Second prize: $20 dollars paypal, 30,000 koins, next upgrade, next donation award, and up to 20 dollars in prizes off amazon. First prize: $30 dollars paypal, 50,000 koins, next upgrade, next donation award, and up to 50 dollars in prizes off amazon. The contest is set to go through Christmas and New Years, and to end January 16, 2014.

@Beats - Yes, I would like to start off by saying thank you for including me into this weeks FK News. I would like to give a shoutout to Day and Difficult. They are two of my closest friends on ForumKorner.
@Michael - Okay, let's get started. How did you find ForumKorner and what pushed you too register?
@Beats - Well, about a year and some months ago, I joined ForumKorner. I joined because my friend told me to join. I remember that it was really difficult for me to navigate through the forums because I was new to the whole "forum scene". But, I have been here since the day I joined.
@Michael - What was your sole intention?
@Beats - I didn't really have a "sole intention". I joined for the reason I stated in the last question and because I had some gamertags I wanted to sell.
@Michael - Let's dig a little deeper, how old are you, where are you from and what are your in real life hobbies?
@Beats - Hmm exciting. I am currently 18 years old and I am from the United States. My in real life hobbies are vaping and smoke tricking.
@Michael - What is vaping? I have seen you and others discuss it a few times!
@Beats - Well, Vaping is smoking from an electronic device. Basically it consists of a battery and liquid. The battery heats up a coil inside a tank (clearomizer) and produces smoke. I am extremely into Vaping and I love it. There are a bunch of different flavors to try and so many combinations of parts to add onto my mod.
@Michael - If I remember correctly you quit smoking cigarettes? How's that going?
@Beats - That's great that you asked! I am doing wonderful. It's been a month and a few days. I haven't had a cigarette since then.
@Michael - Have you made any good friends here on ForumKorner?
@Beats - Yes, I have made a few good friends. The user Day and I have been talking for a while now and we have become great friends. I met Day from LSx. It's weird because at the time we met he was in need of a new phone. I was setting up a deal with him that I would sell him my iPhone 5 after I got my new 5S. That never happened. But we started to talk a lot more once he became active here on ForumKorner. Since then we have became best friends.

Astronomers "accidentally" discover planet "that should not be"
A giant planet, weighing in at 11 times the mass of Jupiter, has been found orbiting its star 650 times the average of the Earth-Sun distance. Astronomers are bedazzled and are questioning where it came from. A 38 year old, identified as Tao Hsiao, was shopping with his girlfriend at the Golden Eagle International Shopping Center in China, when she asked to check out one last shoe store. Being inside the mall for 5 hours, he was eager to leave and demanded they leave immediately. He told her "she has enough shoes, more shoes then he could wear in a lifetime". Surveillance footage shows Tao angrily hurling the shopping bags and jumping over the railing onto the cosmetics section below.Nelson Mandela statue unveiled in Pretoria
Nelson Mandela, South Africa's very first black president, has had a statue created in memory in the capital, Pretoria, a day after Mandela was buried. The statue is 9 metres in height (30ft) and is bronze, has been created at the Union Buildings, the government headquarters. The statue shows Mandela's hands reaching outwards, intended to show that he had embraced the whole nation. He was given a state funeral at his home on Sunday.
Family of top Mafia 'godfather' arrested in Sicily
Family members of Italy's most-wanted Sicilian Mafia suspect, Matteo Messina Denaro, have been arrested in a police raid in Sicily. A sister, nephew and two counts were taken along with 26 others. They face charges that include Mafia association and extortion. Prosecutors describe the arrests as a decisive step in the hunt for Mr Denaro, who has been on the run for 20 years.Bombs dropped on Syrian city
The Syrian governmental aircraft dropped bombs on their very own rebel city, in northern Aleppo. 22 people were killed, which included 14 children. There has been currently no word from the Syrian government. Reports suggest a school was also hit during the attack.
