Yesterday Philly made an announcement that the timeframe to create awards and groups, and give upgrades has been reduced to forty-eight hours. Michael: Hi, Raptor! Or if I may, Jesse! I see you are a big asset to ForumKorner and a very respected member, is there anything you would like to start off with or any shoutouts to any members?
Raptor: Shoutout to Chill, Johnny G, Sean, Junior, McLovin, Cann!bal, Flippy, Swear, Bend, Trojan and any members I've forgotten.
Michael: Great! I'd like to firstly ask you, how did you come across ForumKorner?
Raptor: I stumbled across FK when I was looking to buy/sell gamertags after I obtained my first one (a lowly three character), and this site was bustling with activity in the Xbox Gamertag market. I joined, and after seeing the calibre of many of the members on the site, and enjoying its laid-back atmosphere, I stayed.
Michael: Interesting! What do you feel could be added to ForumKorner to suit your needs and the members needs?
Raptor: I'd like to see additional uses for koins, as there currently isn't all that many uses for them for upgraded members. Besides that, most of the things I felt FK needed or could revise were fixed with the latest theme.
Michael: There has been a lot of drama with the staff lately, what is your take in this? (Corruption, etc)
Raptor: I generally steer clear of any major inter-personal disputes on ForumKorner, as we aren't always privy to the full extent of what goes on. We get at best, 50% of the story when one side speaks out, and even then, it is in their best interest to only reveal that which will positively reflect upon themselves. I'm satisfied with the work and goings-on of the current staff team.
Michael: What do you think about the recent activity on ForumKorner? Do you think it has increased or decreased?
Raptor: Since the hackings, activity has seemed to dramatically have decreased, however it seems as though it has been gradually building back up and gathering momentum since then. Hopefully this continues, and I'd love to see even more new members joining and staying. Shoutout to Puppet, Lame123 and Jack Goff, as well as any other new members.
Michael: Let's get personal! How old are you and what do your hobbies consist of, in real life and on the internet?
Raptor: I'm 17 years old (almost 18), and my main hobbies include computer discussion (hardware based), gaming (obviously) and the law/psychology. I'm planning on attending university next year, where I'll hopefully either study Law, Psychology, or Criminology, possibly with a double degree in IT security.
Michael: Great! Thank you for being our interviewee for this edition of the ForumKorner news, any last words?
Raptor: Gees, that sounds ominous. Thanks for interviewing me, it's nice to see the return of the FK news.
Egypt Passes Protest Law
Recently, Egypt's interim president, Adly Mahmoud Mansour, approved of a new law which confines Egyptian citizens to protest. The new sanctioned law consequentially and ironically set motion to more protests. Egyptian government officials have argued that the newly authorized law was necessary in order to preserve stability and protect the rights of protesters. The law allows police to use a gradual escalation of force, however, manifests few details about which violations would justify the escalation of force.
Bodies Found In Mass Graves
Police began digging up mass graves in western Mexico recently. They have found a total of 54 victims. Authorities made the startling discovery in the town of La Barca, located near the border of Mexico's Jalisco and Michoacan states, finding dozens of clandestine graves whilst doing an investigation on the disappearances of two federal agents. There has been no confirmation so far on whether the bodies of the two missing federal agents have been unearthed. Prosecutors haven't identified the human remains yet. The victims exhibited signals of them being bound, gagged and tortured, investigators said.

Comet Ison For the Many To See
Comet Ison could well be the brightest and most spectacular comet for a generation. It should appear above the eastern horizon from December 2013 as a glorious streak across the sky. Ison has been travelling towards the sun for tens of thousands of years and will make only one orbit disappearing off into the outer solar system.

There is nothing more important to us than protecting our users’ privacy. To that end, we recently announced that we will make Yahoo Mail even more secure by introducing https (SSL - Secure Sockets Layer) encryption with a 2048-bit key across our network by January 8, 2014.
Today we are announcing that we will extend that effort across all Yahoo products. More specifically this means we will:
- Encrypt all information that moves between our data centers by the end of Q1 2014;
- Offer users an option to encrypt all data flow to/from Yahoo by the end of Q1 2014;
- Work closely with our international Mail partners to ensure that Yahoo co-branded Mail accounts are https-enabled.
"We have the Windows Phone OS. We have Windows RT and we have full Windows. We're not going to have three. We do think there's a world where there is a more mobile operating system that doesn't have the risks to battery life, or the risks to security. But, it also comes at the cost of flexibility. So we believe in that vision and that direction and we're continuing down that path."
Larson-Green said
Windows RT was Microsoft's "first go" at creating a turnkey, closed system, similar to iOS for the iPad. Like iOS, Windows RT isn't as flexible, she acknowledged, but it's more seamless and simplified.
"I think we didn't differentiate the devices (Surface RT vs. Surface Pro) well enough. They looked similar. Using them is similar. It just didn't do everything that you expected Windows to do. So there's been a lot of talk about it should have been a rebranding. We should not have called it Windows. How should we have made it more differentiated? I think over time you'll see us continue to differentiate it more," she said.
Can’t we all just get along?
Some have issued a call for peace but the next-generation console war is inevitable. PlayStation 4 fans and Xbox One fans have their own war going, and market research firms and other industry watchers will constantly pit the two consoles against each other as they fight for sales. While the PS4 undoubtedly took an early lead since it launched a week ahead of Microsoft’s new console, it looks like the Xbox One gained some ground and dominated Black Friday sales at two of the biggest retailers in the country.
The PS4 will be released in the UK tomorrow at midnight finally bringing to an end a long journey of pre-launch speculation and hype going back many years. So for one last time, we’ll go through everything we know about the PS4 and why it ended up being the console it is. We’ll compare it to the competition and look at where a PS4-dominated future might take console gaming.
Leader's Weekly Recommendations
In this section of the news, I will be recommending one movie and one album. Every week will be different, and each week will be better and more interesting than the last.
Film
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
Director: Peter Jackson
Stars: Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage
SOURCE: IMDB
This movie is based upon one of my favorite books of all time. J. R. R. Tolkien's vision is brought to life on the silver screen with the help of Peter Jackson. The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite series of all time, and this prequel is quickly becoming another favorite. With the brilliant actors, stunning scenery, and classic story, The Hobbit is a film that cannot be passed up on.
Music
6 Feet Beneath the Moon
Artist: King Krule
Release Date: August 24th, 2013
This album has slowly crawled into my life and has become one of my favorite albums of all time. With King Krule's deep accent, interesting choice, and raw emotion, this album is an amazing work of art. My favorite tracks include "Easy Easy" and "A Lizard State." If you haven't already heard this album, I suggest you check it out.

Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

New Music
A few notable music releases include the following;
ARTPOP
Artist: Lady Gaga
Rating: 4 stars out of 5
SOURCE: iTUNES
This album bursts with creativity. Lady Gaga is passionate, and has her own true identity, which is truly shown through her music.
The Marshall Mathers LP 2
Artist: Eminem
Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5
SOURCE: iTUNES
As much as I like to hate on Eminem, this album is truly enjoyable. Despite the lack of development of Em as an artist, LP2 brings some interesting and nostalgic rhymes and as well as an unforgettable flow to the table.
