These new features include a username color changer, a gambling or betting plugin and a virtual stock market for Koins, as well as a plugin for some new advanced statistics. It's very exciting to see these new plugins being implemented, as many users have suggested them in the past. ForumKorner is expanding and growing everyday, and these new plugins will definitely be great for the site as well as all of the members. Be on the lookout for the implementation of these new plugins.

I was banned? by @illegal - Earlier this week, a fairly well-known member of the forum, @illegal, was banned for apparent multi-accounting. @Michael: Hey, Shift! Thanks for allowing me to interview you today. Anything you'd like to start off with?
@Shift: I wanted to thank you for giving me the honor of being interviewed for this week's edition of ForumKorner news.
@Michael: Why did you decide to register?
@Shift: Well it's actually kind of a funny story. so before I was on FK I got scammed for a botted IG over Kik, so I looked up
his Kik name and I found him on a a website called ForumKorner, so basically for a week I just read through the threads as I had
not bothered to sign up since I was to busy reading about people buying and selling social media accounts, which was a unfamiliar idea for me because on the other site I was on, TTG, it was a rare thing to see accounts for sale, much less accounts that were actually worth
the money. So after a week I registered on FK and yeah now I'm here.
@Michael: What do you think of FK?
@Shift: Well, this is a question that I have multiple views on. First, FK is a great site that I have learned a lot from
and also where I have met a lot of people that are amazing and have helped me out. I do wish FK were more active as
that would mean that there would be more activity and there would also be more people to talk to.
@Michael: Now, a bit personal! How old are you and what are your hobbies?
@Shift: I am 14 years old and I like to spend my time online, reading informative articles (especially articles about
politics and religion), listening to different types of music, and chatting with FK members on AIM/Skype. Those
are some of my online hobbies. Some of my offline hobbies are hanging out with friends, trolling and messing around
with people, and helping people out with their problems.
@Michael: Do you follow any sports? If so, what sport and why?
@Shift: I don't really follow any sport too closely, but I do follow football and Mexican soccer a bit. It is all that people
around me all talk about, so I figured I'd watch some games.
@Michael: Now, you are known as the 'Forum troll' or the 'class clown'. How do you feel about this?
@Shift: Well I feel proud of the title because I like to make people smile, as I know how far a chuckle or smile can
go when you are having a horrible day and giving up on life. I try to not troll so much to the point
where it begins to piss staff off as it has the opposite effect I am trying to create.
@Michael: Will you ever treat FK seriously?
@Shift: I actually do take FK seriously when it comes to helping members when they have issues, for example when a member gets
scammed I PM and ask them about the issue and try to help them find a solution. I also take it seriously when it
comes to doing deals, as I currently have 50 on-site deals, around 20 offsite deals and 30 from other various forums so business
is something that I take seriously. Other than that I use FK to get things off my mind so I will continue trolling as long
as my warning level doesn't hit 100% GG.
@Michael: Thanks for your time, any last words?
@Shift: Just wanted to thank you for giving me the chance to be interviewed. I also want to send a shoutout to all the people that I
have met and talk to @amp @curley @"Ty-" @sos @hitler @leader @plague @sleep @dunk @michael @shawn @mac @bit @mike @critical
and many other people. Also in 2 months and 21 days It will be a year since I joined ForumKorner.
Activision Commits $500m To "Destiny"
Games-maker Activision Blizzard has committed $500m (£295m) to making, updating and promoting its Destiny video game. Bobby Kotick, Activision's boss, revealed the cash commitment at an industry conference last week. But industry analysts questioned whether an entirely new game like Destiny would prove a hit with fans. The science-fiction themed game is scheduled for release on 9 September this year. Destiny is being made by the Bungie studio which is best known for its work on the Halo series of games. Set in a post-apocalyptic future 700 years from now, Destiny gives players the job of defending the last human city from invaders and, eventually, expanding mankind's sphere of influence. Bungie has said the game will mix elements from both massively multiplayer games and single-player shooting games. So far, the game is a console-only title. Activision has billed Destiny as a next-generation game that will constantly change over its predicted decade-long lifespan. The game will be an "open world" and place far fewer restrictions on what players can do than other titles. Activision Blizzard is believed to be putting so much money behind Destiny to help compensate for the falling interest in some of the other game franchises it owns and runs. In particular, the 2013 sales of Call of Duty: Ghosts were lower than those in 2012 and subscriber numbers for World of Warcraft have been on a steady downward slide for some time. With Destiny, Activision hopes to emulate the success of the well-known Grand Theft Auto game.
Warning Over Unintentional File Leak From Storage Sites
People using file storage services, such as Dropbox and Box, are being warned that they are at risk of inadvertently leaking their own files. Intralinks - which is a competitor - said it found sensitive files, such as mortgage records. The problem centered on the use of the services' sharing function that generated a public link. As a precaution, Dropbox has disabled access to links that have been previously shared. It said it had also implemented a patch to prevent shared links from being exposed from now on. "We realize that many of your workflows depend on shared links, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We'll continue working hard to make sure your stuff is safe and keep you updated on any new developments," the company said in a blog post. "We're working to restore links that aren't susceptible to this vulnerability over the next few days." Security researcher Graham Cluley said identity thieves could use the method to "scoop up" data. "I think these services need to be more upfront with warnings," However he added that the problem was not a security flaw as such, but instead an unexpected consequence of user behavior.
Faster Chromebook Laptops Revealed
New computers running Google's Chrome operating system from Lenovo, Acer, Asus, HP and Toshiba have been shown off at an event in San Francisco. In addition, Dell announced it would offer its existing Chromebook laptop with a faster processor. The move is designed to build on rising demand for the web-oriented tech. According to research firm NPD, Chrome OS computers accounted for 24% of sales of sub-$300 PCs in the US over the first three months of the year. It said many consumers were purchasing them as a budget second or third computing device, while schools and universities viewed them as a cheap replacement for ageing Windows XP computers that Microsoft no longer supported. However, NPD added that competition in this commercial sector was likely to become tougher. "None of Chrome OS's competitors really expected anything last year, so they weren't really prepared for it," said Stephen Baker, the firm's vice president of industry analysis. "But everybody is prepared this year, and I think it will be a bigger challenge to gain share in volume." Even so, Google executive Caesar Sengupta - who spoke at the launch event - was keen to highlight the platform's success at retailer Amazon, where eight of the current 20 bestselling laptops are Chromebooks. In addition, he noted that nearly 10,000 schools had now equipped themselves with Chrome OS computers - about double the number that had been the case six months ago.
Halo Content Coming To Xbox Minecraft
Details are sparse at this point, but Microsoft has confirmed that Halo content is coming to Minecraft. The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft has seen mash-up packs in the past that introduced content from other titles--including Mass Effect and Skyrim--into Mojang's sandbox building game. This content included new music, menus, worlds, and character skins, as well as updated items. Based on the single screenshot shared with today's announcement, it looks as if the same type of content will be included when this new Halo crossover hits. We can see a player using a Master Chief skin (and holding what looks almost like a Needler), computer screens built inside a structure, and part of a Halo ring extending up into the sky. Microsoft's Phil Spencer announced last month that saves from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition would carry over to the Xbox One Edition, which is not yet available. In March, Spencer said the next-gen version was "really close" to being complete, and just this week he said a release date was close to being finalized. Whether DLC, including this new Halo content, will carry over or be available in the Xbox One Edition has not been announced.
New Star Wars: Battlefront Will Be Shown At E3
The new Star Wars Battlefront game in development at DICE is far from complete, but it will be making an appearance at this year's E3. During EA investors conference call, CEO Andrew Wilson responded to a question about the Star Wars games it has in development. The new Battlefront was the only one he discussed, saying it is coming along "very, very well," but there remains "lots and lots of work to go." That said, Battlefront will be among the games EA shows off at E3 in June, according to Wilson. Whether it will be playable or simply seen in video form was not revealed. EA signed a deal with Disney last year to create new "core" Star Wars games. Dead Space developer Visceral is currently at work on a new Star Wars game (reportedly an open-world game) being written by former Uncharted writer Amy Hennig. Meanwhile, Battlefield developer DICE has been tasked with developing Battlefront. DICE executive producer Patrick Bach admitted last year that the prospect of making the game was "scary." The original Battlefront and Battlefront II were developed by now-defunct studio Pandemic and were released in 2004 and 2005, respectively. EA's E3 press conference is scheduled for Monday, June 9, though whether the game will be seen here or during one of the console manufacturers' conferences is unknown. We recently learned all future Star Wars releases--including games--will be canonical, meaning Battlefront's story will be a part of the official Star Wars canon, rather than being relegated to the Expanded Universe.
