I always see people needing live on here, so I have decided to make this thread on how to get a 1 month code for free in just about 15-30 minutes depending on the agents you get connected to. I have done this over 20 times for myself, and other friends. I guess you could say I created this method, because I actually did think you could still buy live using the account's balance so I called about this for real, but they changed it around a year ago that you can't buy live with your account balance. Enough of that, let's get into what you really came for! How to get the 1 month code free of charge:
NOTE: I have always done this using my main profile's information, I have never received a ban or anything. When they send you the 1 month code I'm pretty sure that they don't note it anywhere. If they did, the agents would not keep on giving me the codes.
READ ALL THE STEPS BELOW BEFORE CALLING THEM!
Call 800-469-9269
Before anything they will ask to send you an access code to your email or phone # associated with your xbox account so they can verify that it is your account you're calling about.
When you get connected to an agent, you're going to want to say:
"I'm very upset because I just cashed my packcheck and went straight down to the corner store to get some xbox live so I can FINALLY play online with my friends again, the guy working there said that xbox currency can be used to buy xbox live when I asked him because they were out of the 3 month cards, so I bought a $25 currency code, went home and redeemed it and now it is not letting me buy live."
It tends to work the best with female agents, not being sexist at all (this is just based from my past experiences) if they start to say "Sorry there's nothing I can do" just hangup, that is not true and that agent will not be granting you a 1 month code, so don't waste your time with that person. Just call again and when you get the right person they will feel bad for you and say something along the lines of "I can help you get back online temporarily." It only takes me about 1-3 calls to get a code, it's really not that bad. They will email you the 1 month code and boom, there's a free month. I personally repeat this every time I run out of live and you can too!
