Sign into your Call of Duty account that's linked to your Gamertag/PSN : callofduty.com

Once you've done that, proceed to this link and click the box and submit: callofduty.com/dayzero

If you've done this right, you should come across this image:

Now, within 24 hours you will have the DLC on your account ​

Some exclusive weapons, and I believe something else but I forget honestly. Either way, it's supposed to be exclusive for those we Pre-ordered.

I think you just need to have your Gamertag linked to your Call of Duty account to qualify. Give it a try
